alt Whitman Birthplace Association (WWBA) continued its five-part 2016 series, Democratic Vistas: Voices of Democracy, on Sunday, July 10th, with speeches by Whitman Scholars Ed Folsom, PhD, and David S. Reynolds, PhD. The WWBA series is named after Whitman’s book, Democratic Vistas, originally published in 1871. The event was free and open to the public, and was sponsored by the New York Council for the Humanities.
