The streets of Seaford were full of almost 800 runners and walkers on the morning of the first Saturday in December as the Seaford Wellness Council sponsored its 18th Annual Hot Chocolate 5K Run/Walk. The very successful Run/Walk started and finished at Seaford High School.

2023 Seaford Hot Chocolate 5K Run/Walk

The streets of Seaford were full of almost 800 runners and walkers on the morning of the first Saturday in December as the Seaford Wellness

Council sponsored its 18th Annual Hot Chocolate 5K Run/Walk. The very successful Run/Walk started and finished at Seaford High School. The

participants, some in baby strollers and a few in their late 80s and early 90s, all had a smile on their faces after finishing the race. The LIU Sharks collegiate

cheerleading squad was at the finish line to both encourage and greet all participants. Bagels and hot chocolate were enjoyed after the run/walk.

The awards ceremony and the raffle, which included among 40 prizes two tickets to anywhere JetBlue flies worldwide and a premium bicycle

from Brands, was met with much excitement. Seaford’s preeminent event commenced the holiday season in the hamlet again as it does each year.
