January is probably my least favorite month of all. Apologies to those with birthdays or other milestones that fall within these 31 days, but honestly, it doesn’t seem like anything of any real significance happens in January – save for exorbitant snowfall totals, hazardous driving conditions and a general sense of post-holiday “blah-ness.” Am I wrong? 100 YEARS YOUNG - Despite the Polar Vortex and the second major snow storm this year, Marcella Miller had a most important event on Tuesday, January 21st, when she found out that a surprise party for her 100th birthday was to take place at St. William the Abbot Parish RC in Seaford. Marcella, a long time parishioner of St William’s and still very active in three of the parishes’ ministries, was honored with a mass at 9 a.m., followed by a reception.
