Stacking Up

On November 13th, Schwarting Elementary School in the Plainedge School District participated in the 2014 World Speed Stacking Association’s “Stack Up” event, which aimed to break the world record for the most number of students stacking at one time. Sport stacking can be an individual or team sport where participants of all ages and abilities stack and unstack 12 specifically designed cups, called Speed Stacks, in specific

patterns. Stacking is considered an educational and athletic game that facilitates fitness, handeye coordination, fine motor skills and bilateral coordination and improves cognitive function between the left and right sides of the brain.
