McSweeney congratulated the North Babylon rescue crew who received the Suffolk County Remsco Life saving award. These men and women received this award for their actions at a working fire on March 21, 2021 when a North Babylon fireman went into cardiac arrest after battling the house fire. Thank god for the quick actions of NB rescue crew & medic Karina Elco who witnessed the firefighter go into cardiac arrest. This young talented rescue crew immediately jumped into action and saved this young firefighters life. Because of the actions of everyone at the scene the fireman was released from the hospital 2 weeks later.
