Our Adoption Team is contacting pre-approved adopters with a scheduled day and time to complete their adoption. The health and wellbeing of NSALA staff, volunteers, adopters, and the community remains our priority at this time. We currently have over 40 dogs of various ages and sizes on campus, as well as more than 100 felines, from kittens to older cats, all looking for loving homes. Telehealth Is Available Through Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy Telehealth is a new resource available through Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy for anyone that needs therapy and wishes to receive the treatment in the comfort and safety of their own home. Telehealth offers a web based therapy session that is done via a webcam. Phones, tablets, or computers can be used. The sessions are private and the only people that have access to the video call are the patient and the treating therapist.
Telehealth is available for any body part or condition, and is covered by insurance. While we navigate the challenges COVID-19 presents, under most insurances Metro Physical Therapy is able to waive any copayment associated with the treatment. This means sessions are available at no out of pocket cost to the patient in most cases. In the event a copayment can not be waived, a second session in the same week is being
offered for free. This allows a patient to be treated 2x per week for the cost of 1 session.
