A new brick walkway at the site of Irmisch Historical Park on South Broadway in Lindenhurst was recently dedicated at a ribbon cutting ceremony held by the Lindenhurst Historical Society. The Memorial Walkway joins the 1901 Restored

Railroad Depot and Freight House to the Old Village Hall Museum, currently under renovation. Bricks were purchased by community residents and engraved with a special name or message. The fundraising project was only possible through

the generous donation of bricks by Nicolia Concrete/ Nicolock Paving Stones LLC of Lindenhurst. Over seven pallets of bricks were provided for this project that began in 2014 when the 100th anniversary of the Old Village Hall Museum took place.

The Lindenhurst Historical Society is also indebted to Simon Hick of Si-Co in Lindenhurst for his donation of labor to create the base and walkway. Mr. Hick also provided decorative blocks to spell out the year 1901 at the entrance to the Depot

museum. Expert engraving was done by Stone Unlimited of Lindenhurst. Bricks are still available for purchase. The donation is $65. Order forms are available at the Lindenhurst Historic Home Museum, 272 South Wellwood Avenue, on
