he Long Island State Park Region has begun hosting its 31st annual Winter Run Series, and there’s still time to get involved!
The series began on Sunday, January 11th at Heckscher State Park with a Red, White, & Blue theme to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the United States. Additional runs will be held January 18th at Robert Moses State Park where runners will wear their best silly socks & hats. On January 25th Sunken Meadow State Park will host with a neon wear theme, and will finish out the series on February 1st at Jones Beach State Park, where you can come dressed in your favorite throwback Winter Run Series apparel. All races are 5K in length and will start at 11 a.m.
