Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum is excited to host our first-ever in-person grief healing art workshop on Saturday, March 4th with Deborah Adler, MA, ATR-BC, LCAT Registered, Board Certified and Licensed Art Therapist Session 1: 5pm - 6:15pm Session 2: 7pm - 8:15pm!
Mandala is a Sanskrit word that means “Circle.” Mandala-making is a common Art Therapy method often used for insight, healing and self-expression. It is another way to practice mindfulness. Circles often symbolize the connectedness we have with all people, including our lost loved ones. Licensed Art Psychotherapist, Deborah Adler, will lead you into creating your very own mandala allowing you to explore your feelings whether they reflect grief, sadness, inspiration or hope. No artistic skill or experience is required. Get creative, allow your mind to wander and enjoy the process while you design your art piece with colors, images and symbols that inspire you to reflect on your loved one. There will be dedicated time following the art experience to share mandalas and process any feelings and emotions that came up for you.

The event is limitedthis to 25 registered guests per session.
