The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze® Long Island will run for 36 selected nights from September 22 through November 7. Helping Hand Rescue Mission(HHRM) is a local non-proﬁt organization that is based in Huntington, but serves people all over our island. Their mission is to improve the spiritual and temporal conditions of the children, families and people of the communities they serve by providing excellent service to all who come, whether they be rich or poor, high or low social status. They are here to love, to serve and to give. They are so excited to be hosting their ﬁrst Community Share Day on Saturday, September 18th with the Huntington Assembly of God! This will be a fun and engaging new way for their kindhearted, caring donors to connect with the families that they serve in their beautiful Huntington Station community. How does it work? You register online for a time slot. Then you neatly pack your car with the items you would like to share with the community, such as clothing, toys, household items, unexpired nonperishable food and any other items in good/new condition. Clothing must not be ripped, torn, or stained, missing buttons, or broken zippers. If you would like to give gift cards to families you may, but they ask that no cash is given. Also, no large electronics or furniture please. You can sign up for a two-hour time slot, where they will have the cars set up “trunk-or-treat” style in the parking lot. Community members will be able to walk around to the different cars and browse. You must stay by your

request.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 positivity rates, hospitalizations and projected trends for this September across the country to evaluate the safety of hosting an in-person event this September. We are fully committed to the safety and well-being of our pediatric cancer patient families, volunteers, participants, community and staff.
