Village of Farmingdale Expands EV Charging Infrastructure to Support Sustainable Transportation As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the Village of Farmingdale has installed three new dual-port and one new single-port electric vehicle charging stations located in the rear of Parking Lot 3, south of Cornelia street entrance, providing convenient access for Village residents and visitors who drive electric vehicles! The electric vehicle charging stations were funded in part by a $50,000 grant from the New York State Research and Development Authority. The new charging stations support the Village’s goal of promoting cleaner transportation options and reducing its overall carbon footprint. Partnered with Evoke System to manage the userfriendly software, charging is simple and accessible for the community. The project was supported by INF Associates, a New York–based energy solutions firm specializing in electric vehicle infrastructure, renewable energy, and decarbonization projects.

Residents Invited To Submit Photos For Town Publications Oyster Bay Town Councilman Andrew Monteleone invites residents to submit photos taken in the Town of Oyster Bay to be considered for future use in Town publications.

“We accept photos year-round submitted by our residents which depict people, places, community events and scenery throughout our Town,” said Councilman Monteleone. “We accept

photos for the calendar, as well as other Town publications, including our website, social media pages and brochures.” Councilman Monteleone noted that photos should be taken within the confines

of the Town of Oyster Bay. Digital submissions are preferred, but highquality photos may also be submitted. Emailed photos should be sent to photos@ oysterbay-ny.gov. Printed photos can be submitted

Farmingdale State College Lax Players Donate Toys To School For Kids With Disabilities

For the 20th year in a row, athletes from the Farmingdale State College Men’s Lacrosse Team delivered holiday presents to elementary school kids at the People’s Arc of Suffolk County Educare Center here today, bringing smiles and joy to children living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The annual delivery is an expression of love and

appreciation for the students at the school and one that is carried on every year by the team. Players rais money to buy the presents, then wrap and deliver them the week before Christmas. The celebration came complete with holiday music, festive treats and a visit from Santa Claus. “We came here 20 years ago and saw what the staff and the teachers were doing

with the kids and thought it was amazing. We’ve been back every year since,” said Sean Chamberlain, Coach of the FSC Lacrosse Team. “It’s rewarding. These players get to learn a lot when they come here and see the challenges these children have and realize how good they have it.” The People’s Arc of Suffolk Educare Center serves children ages 3 – 21

years of age who have a range of intellectual and developmental needs, as well as those who are medically fragile. It includes services built around Multisensory, Physical Therapy, and Music and Movement and an Individualized Educational approach to help students reach their full potential. “Everyone deserves the thrill that our stuents get out of this event,” said Dana

Schillinger, VP of Children’s Services for People’s Arc of Suffolk. “As a child, thinking about Santa coming down the chimney is exciting. Having Santa in your school giving you presents is an even more thrilkling experience.” About People’s Arc of Suffolk People’s Arc of Suffolk is a not-for-profit organization which provides programs

and services to children and adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities on Long Island. Currently more than 2,500 people receive educational, vocational, residential and employment services through forty-two facilities across the county.
