tudents in Deer Park teacher Jennifer Arella’s fourth-grade class at John F. Kennedy Intermediate School chose to forgo their free art period on December 22nd to make “Snowflakes of Hope” for eight year-old burn victim Safyre Terry of upstate Rotterdam. Terry, who lost her family in a 2013 house fire, had requested cards for Christmas this year, and received more than a million.
