he Art room at Deer Park’s John F. Kennedy Intermediate School was filled with the sight of dragons during the last week of January. Art teacher Laurie Schwartz introduced several classes to the traditions of Chinese New Year and guided the students in making their own dragon masks. The students learned the traditional importance of the color red and the legends associated with dragons.
