tudents and staff at Deauville Gardens East Elementary School in the Copiague School District celebrated their differences on June 23rd during a school-wide Dignity Day. To kick-off the daylong event, the entire school paraded around the field and gathered together to form a human rainbow. Classes visited different classrooms to sing songs, share poems and participate in various other dignity-related activities.
