The North Babylon School District extends its sincerest gratitude to GallettAir Inc., which generously donated nine ultraviolet decontamination units to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The units are made from two-drawer filing cabinets, ultraviolet lights and timers and will be used to sterilize masks, other personal protective equipment, Chromebooks, cell phones and other electronic devices. According to Carmine Galletta, president of GallettAir and graduate of North Babylon High School’s Career and Technical Education program in HVAC, the filing cabinets can eliminate traces of viruses and bacteria within 15 minutes. Mr. Galletta worked in collaboration

with a sanitation unit, which he hopes will help to alleviate anxiety amongst staff, students, parents and community members.

North Babylon HS Receives Generous Donation To Improve Safety

Sept. 8 was the official kickoff for the 20202021 school year in West Babylon. While this school year will look a bit different, students and staff were eager to start the new year, either in-person or virtually.
As the buses pulled into the schools, staff, faculty and administrators were on hand to welcome students. They toted their backpacks filled with supplies and kindergartners navigated through the hallways to settle into their classrooms.
The incoming sixth and ninth grade students also became acquainted with their new buildings. Many students reconnected with old friends and classmates as they settled into the school day.

The Babylon Beautification Society is accepting volunteers for their annual Holiday Lamppost Decorating, which takes place on Sunday, November 29, 2020. Decorating will take place from 10:30 a.m. – 3:00p.m The event takes place, rain or shine. All materials are provided, just bring a ladder. Most volunteers decorate between 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Note: it takes approximately 30 minutes to decorate one lamppost Each year over 1,000 volunteers decorate the
lampposts throughout Babylon Village and within a few hours, the village is transformed into a holiday wonderland. In the past, they have fully funded the event, however, this year all of the fundraising events were canceled due to COVID-19. To offset expenses, there will be a nonrefundable cost of $20, per lamppost to decorate. The Babylon Beautification Society provides all of the decorations (tree roping, lights, red bows) and volunteers are required to
provide their own ladder and holiday spirit. You must sign-up in advance - Even if you participated last year. Their goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of those suffering hair loss due to medical conditions. Hair We Share relies solely on donations, in the form of real-hair ponytails and monetary contributions. With these donations, they provide quality hair solutions at no cost to many men, women and children throughout the USA, however they are located right here on Long Island! Hair We Share is committed to changing lives.
This organization was formed in 2014 and has grown steadily over the years. They are truly a one of a kind nonprofit ran by selfless individuals. Their organization is supported by over 40 years of experience in custom design for wigs and hair pieces and they are extremely proud to say that their non-profit is rapidly making a mark in the medical related hair loss communities, improving lives and restoring the confidence of men, women & children throughout the USA.

The right to vote is something to cherish, as many people across the globe do not get a chance to elect the officials who govern their countries. While Election Day is an exciting time, voters may find it frustrating if they do not take steps to ensure things go smoothly when they head to the polls. The following tips can help voters prepare for Election Day. Confirm your polling location. Polling locations may have changed since last year, and voters who have moved in the past 12 months may now have to vote in a new location.
