I was saved by a rescue after being sent plea after plea Little did I know, freedom wasn’t free I arrived at their home ﬁlled with great hope But after one night, they just couldn’t cope Their dog didn’t like me, so now I can’t stay So into boarding I go, sitting day after day

Just give me a chance, I’ll love you til the end

What did I do to deserve to be here? I’ve become the forgotten dog, this is my fear Alive but not living, still stuck in a cage This isn’t supposed to happen after being saved

So I’m here to remind you that I’m still here alone Feeling defeated and giving up hope My spirit is breaking, I try to be brave The forgotten dog, I am wondering why I was saved Sometimes I think death would be better, better than sitting in boarding forever.

It was a day of gratitude, celebration and excitement when North Babylon alumnus and current NBA star Danny Green surprised students and staff at Robert Moses Middle School on September 12th. Mr. Green flew in from his base in San Antonio, where he plays for the

Spurs, to thank RMMS Principal Kathleen Harnett for her support of his Team Green basketball camp. The camp, which provides Mr. Green with the opportunity to give back to his community, teaches local children the game of basketball, setting goals, teamwork, and other

essential lessons for sports and life. “It was really surprising and very touching,” said Mrs. Harnett. “It was an example of what family means to Danny – and I am part of his North Babylon family. He takes nothing for granted. He is such an inspiration to our students,

Some funeral homes do not guarantee cash advances and set the money aside in an interest bearing account and allow the interest to offset that funeral home costs and still charge families for the increases in cash advances. This policy may cause the family to pay hundreds of dollars at the time the funeral actually takes place. For instance a grave opening in St. Charles Cemetery was $350.00 in 1984 is now $1995.00 Monday thru Friday $2475.00 on Saturday. Thus if the funeral home where you prepay your funeral does not guarantee the cemetery costs you will owe $2475.00 for a Saturday funeral at St. Charles Cemetery.
