The Paumanauke Native American Festival Inc., in partnership with the Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts (BACCA) and the Town of Babylon, proudly presents the 44th Annual Paumanauke Pow Wow, taking place Saturday,
August 8, and Sunday, August 9 at Tanner Park in Copiague.
Celebrating Native American heritage and traditions, this familyfriendly annual event welcomes visitors of all ages for two days filled with vibrant cultural experiences, including Traditional, InterTribal and Aztec dance performances, exciting dance competitions, traditional drumming, Native American artisans, artists, crafts, authentic foods, and specialty vendors.
The Pow Wow offers an opportunity for the public to experience and learn about Native American culture while supporting an important cause. Proceeds from the event benefit the Native American Scholarship Fund. Event Details Dates & Times

The Farmingdale School District marked its second year of advanced emergency response training with an Active Assailant Response Drill at Albany Avenue Elementary School, continuing its unique, comprehensive approach to school safety and emergency preparedness.
The drill included several carefully planned scenarios designed to simulate real-time threats and test the district’s rapid response capabilities. The objectives centered on improving communication and coordination between school personnel, local law enforcement, and armed security contractors to execute swift campus lockdowns, transition to an armed response, and ensure coordinated postincident accountability and recovery.
This full-scale simulation was made possible through Farmingdale’s ongoing collaboration with numerous law enforcement and emergency response agencies, including:

There will be no charge and the normal star gazing permit will not be required. You must remain near your vehicle.
