The MATTERS harm reduction vending machines help make that possible for our community by removing barriers, increasing awareness, and ensuring that help is always within reach when it matters most.” MATTERS has installed over 40 similar machines across New York State, thanks to the funding from the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Support (OASAS) in a unified effort to prevent overdose. People can also visit the MATTERS website to order free supplies

RiseWell is a multiservice, community-based social wellness agency and a major provider of health and wellness, family services, housing, and support services in the New York City area. The last weigh in will take place at 1:00 pm, followed by an awards ceremony. Both the snappers and crabs will be weighed alive and live release is encouraged. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third heaviest fish in each age category (7 years and younger; 8-12 years old and 13-16 years old) and to the top three heaviest crabs overall, both Saturday and Sunday.
