There had better be a good explanation for all this. I expect a special trip to the pet store this weekend to pick out a new toy… and extra food… and at least a week’s notice the next time one of these “vacation” things takes place. The first day brought about new experiences for all students, specifically to those starting their first year at one of the district’s four elementary schools, Copiague Middle School or Walter G. O’ Connell Copiague

High School. Summer orientations helped ease those transitions, and staff members were ready to help on the ﬁrst day to ensure the school year was off to a smooth start. The halls were alive and bustling as friends reunited and greeted one another with open arms, and teachers warmly invited their students into class to begin instruction.
