An Event Full of Team Building and Training NEI recently hosted its first Field Operations Conference at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. This event allowed our field team to learn from experienced and knowledgeable NEI team members across multiple departments with tranings, demonstrations, and more.
NEI Completes Construction On New Southeast Office NEI has completed construction on its new, twostory, 25,000 SF state-of-theart facility in Winter Garden, FL, which includes offices and warehouse space. The facility was also built with commercial space which will be utilized as flex space to grow into as well as potential space for emerging contractors.
New Senior Housing for the Community of Holbrook NEI celebrated the completion of the Maple on Franklin senior housing community in Holbrook, MA at a ribbon cutting on Thursday, October 12, 2023. Developed by NeighborWorks Housing Solutions, the project provides much-needed affordable senior housing.
Field Operations Conference NEI recently hosted its first Field Operations Conference at Gillette Stadium. This event allowed our field team from all regions to get together to build relationships with one another and senior management. Additionally, the team learned from experienced and knowledgeable NEI team members across multiple departments. The programs that were designed to help the team succeed on their projects included trainings and/or demonstrations in site safety, risk management, software and processes, preconstruction, and more.

The event featured guest speakers from Construction Risk Partners, Hilti, Fall-Tech, Industrial Safety & Rescue, Dewalt, and Marc Joseph, City of Boston's Deputy Building Commissioner. The keynote speaker for the event was Nieisha Deed, mental health advocate and Founder & Chief Executive Officer, PureSpark, a platform providing resources and daily coping mechanisms that would otherwise be out of reach for someone unfamiliar with the mental wellness system.

New Senior Housing For the Community Of Holbrook NEI celebrated the completion of the Maple on Franklin senior housing community in Holbrook, MA at a ribbon cutting on Thursday, October 12, 2023. Developed by NeighborWorks Housing Solutions, the project provides much-needed affordable senior housing. The newly constructed 67,000 SF four-story apartment building is located at 120 North Franklin Street and features 72 one-bedroom units for residents 62 and older. In addition to attending the ribbon cutting, NEI donated funds and NEI employees gathered at Maple on Franklin to assemble welcome baskets with essentials including laundry detergent, paper towels, coat hangers, towels, and other home essentials for the new senior residents. Located on a four-acre site in the town center within walking distance of a number of town services and a block away from the town’s senior center, Maple on Franklin is the newest housing development in Holbrook. NEI demolished two aging buildings located on the site before beginning construction of the new wood-frame apartment building and a surface parking lot. Designed by The Narrow Gate, the development boasts a communal environment supported by shared spaces such as a library, fitness room, lobby, offices, and commercial space to foster a sense of community. The need for affordable senior housing is at a critical point. More than 500 applications were submitted for the 72 available units. Tenant selection and notification is currently being conducted. More housing of this nature is necessary to meet the demand in the local area. "We are immensely grateful for the outstanding partnership we have with NEI. Maple on Franklin will achieve Passive House certification (PHIUS+ 2018). Passive House significantly reduces the carbon footprint while making a comfortable, healthy, and affordable environment. Together, the project team worked through the details to ensure compliance with Passive House standards and to prepare for the rigorous inspections scheduled throughout the design and construction process.

NEI Completes Construction Of New Southeast Office NEI has completed construction on its new, two-story, 25,000 SF office building and warehouse in Winter Garden, Florida. Located at 751 Garden Commerce Parkway, the office will support the Southeast operations including Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, and Louisiana, among other states. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Friday, August 18, 2023, and was attended by all the Florida office staff, design team, project subcontractors, friends, and family. NEI opened its office in Florida in 2013 and now employs 66 people. Over the past 10 years, NEI has completed over 55 projects valued at approximately $500 million. porch, laundry, private lactation room, employee lounge with a pool table and a café kitchen. Featuring a twostory atrium lobby, the office layout includes private offices, workstations, and conference rooms. “We have seen a steady and sustainable growth in our client portfolio since opening our Florida office in 2013, and we are grateful for the trust our clients have placed in NEI,” said Rich Ionelli, vice president of Southeast operations at NEI. “Our decision to build a new headquarters in Florida a decade after opening an office here reflects our strategic commitment to the Southeast region.
