ON THE GO

Fall 2026

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord. Colossians 3:23

IN THIS ISSUE A Word from the CEO Equipping Hands and Hearts Spotlight on South Africa Reaching Neighbors and Nations

A WORD from the CEO Dear Praying Partners, Recently, I have been looking through my father’s teachings about spiritual warfare in preparation for a devotional release next year. It is amazing how we often both overestimate and underestimate the role of Satan and his dark forces in the world (Ephesians 6:12). In other words, sometimes we give him too much credit for bad things that happen, and other times we ignore the signs of warfare clearly around us. We frequently turn to prayer as a last resort instead of a first one. Our partnerships around the globe are on the front line of spiritual battles in the seen and unseen world. In this newsletter, you will travel to three continents and read about breakthroughs being made, strongholds being torn down, and lives being changed forever. As you read each story, please pause and pray for the people involved, that they would “never be lacking in zeal, but keep [their] spiritual fervor, serving the Lord” and that they would “be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” (Romans 12:11–12). Thank you for appreciating the hidden battle that rages on and for combatting the forces of evil through your prayers. We can all look forward to heaven, when we will realize the impact the Lord allowed these prayers to have. Until then, “Onward, Christian Soldiers!” Serving with you,

Joseph Williams, CEO The term “walking wounded” originated during the Civil War to describe those who were injured but able to walk away from the battlefield. Today, it can also describe those carrying deep emotional wounds that have yet to heal. We’re grateful to share When We’re Wounded, a short book exploring woundedness in the Bible alongside a personal journey through two painful experiences and the Lord’s faithfulness in bringing healing. Our prayer is that it will encourage those carrying their own wounds and point them to the hope and healing found in Christ. EQUIPPING

Hands & Hearts

Your partnership in Bible outreach has blessed dedicated pastors, strengthened churches, and helped communities grow in God’s Word. We believe the impact of your generosity will continue for generations to come. “Your generosity has placed God’s Word into the hands of those who have devoted their lives to proclaiming the gospel. The joy we witnessed during the Bible distribution was unforgettable. Many pastors embraced their new Bibles with tears in their eyes, describing them as an answer to prayers they had prayed for years. Others spoke of the renewed hope they felt knowing they now possessed the essential tool for fulfilling the calling God had placed upon their lives. Thank you for believing in this mission. Thank you for investing not only in pastors, but in the countless lives they will influence through the faithful teaching of God’s Word.” — Robert Sityo, Director of Fountain of Hope Ministries, Uganda This summer, our partner Hani in Israel hosted a Vacation Bible School for about 80 children. For many of these children, the week was an opportunity to hear about God, experience his love, and grow in their faith. Hani shared that they are already seeing God at work: “The Lord is touching their little hearts, and we can see his hand working among us.” Behind every child is a family, and behind the camp is a church that gave their time and served faithfully to make this ministry possible. Your partnership helps create opportunities for children like these to encounter Christ and for local churches to reach their communities with his love.

Spotlight on

SOUTH AFRICA

During a visit to Durban, South Africa, Feed the Hunger staff saw firsthand how one partnership is multiplying its impact and reaching people who would otherwise lack support and spiritual nourishment. Through Focus on Christ Ministries, our trusted distribution partner in South Africa, Feed the Hunger meals are reaching far and wide. They have developed a powerful network of pastors and ministry leaders who identify the most at-risk and underserved areas. Together, we are accessing communities we could never reach on our own, sharing the food you have provided with orphan homes, schools, elderly homes, rehabilitation centers, domestic violence shelters, struggling families, and slum settlements. The food is even reaching rural villages and crossing borders. Boxes of Feed the Hunger meals have traveled with mission teams into neighboring Mozambique! What began with a single box of Feed the Hunger food is becoming a growing network of compassion, nourishment, and hope.

FOCUSED ON CHRIST, COMMITTED TO OTHERS

Focus on Christ Church, affiliated with Focus on Christ Ministries, is part of a strong, unified network of about 200 churches in Durban called Accurate Building Concepts (ABC). The pastors and ministry leaders stay closely connected, meeting in person each Thursday and online each Monday to coordinate ministry and care for their communities. Nineteen church families who are currently without work receive Feed the Hunger meal packets each week. Located within walking distance of the church is the Umgudulu Road settlement, home to about 3,000 people. The conditions there are heartbreaking. A single bathroom and shower facility and one trash receptacle serve the entire community. Each afternoon, about 50 children walk from the nearby settlement to the church for an afterschool program. They receive a Feed the Hunger meal, a Bible lesson, and help with their schoolwork. Many also attend church on Sundays.

CHURCHES SERVING COMMUNITIES

Gateway Church was one of our most impactful visits. Pastor Speedy leads its congregation of about 500 members. Raised by a single mother in extreme poverty, he came to Christ after being welcomed by Gateway Church more than 20 years ago. Today, he calls his congregation “grace carriers” and a “sending church.” They have planted seven churches and intentionally serve communities that have never experienced Christ’s love, with a special focus on children. Each Sunday, they send buses to three underserved communities, and they also reach a rural village about 60 miles from Durban. Feed the Hunger meals are helping fuel this growing ministry of compassion and outreach. Pastor Kevin Singh leads Elev8 Church and the Salt and Light Foundation, which he and his wife started 14 years ago with a simple calling: feed people every day. They receive Feed the Hunger meals and use them to serve children and families throughout their community. They provide breakfast at five local schools, including a rural school where many homes are led by children who must essentially raise themselves. They also serve hot meals weekly through 10 neighborhood “stations” and help build homes for single mothers and child-led households. Pastor Kevin says, “We meet them through the meals,” and he believes that “feeding a meal opens the door for gospel conversations.” It’s a beautiful example of meeting practical needs while building relationships and sharing Christ’s love.

REBUILDING LIVES

Pastor Caroline runs Phoenix Survival Center, a small home providing refuge for abused, abandoned, and vulnerable women. The 10-bed home is supported entirely by local churches, and residents are served Feed the Hunger meals throughout their stay. Each Monday, the center distributes food boxes to families in the community while supplies last. On Wednesdays, residents prepare Feed the Hunger food and deliver the hot meals to the local health clinic.

REACHING NEIGHBORS AND NATIONS The Lord continues to create new opportunities to serve, and your partnership makes it possible for us to respond. Through our Expand the Outreach initiative, we are growing our ability to share God’s love while meeting practical needs in communities here around the world. Thank you for helping us reach farther, serve more people, and strengthen the ministry God has entrusted to us.

IN THE USA

A pallet of Feed the Hunger food was delivered to our neighbors in Greensboro, NC, through our partnership with BackPack Beginnings (above). These Feed the Hunger meals were packed at our Community Packathon for America in July and are reaching families in Guilford County who are struggling to provide the basic nutritional needs for their children. Their free Family Market serves households with children under 18, giving parents the opportunity to choose nutritious food for their families. Feed the Hunger meal packets have quickly become a favorite, with many families choosing one, two, or even all four meal options. So far, nearly 1,000 families have chosen Feed the Hunger meals! Families continue to share how grateful they are to have nutritious, easy-toprepare food to serve their children. Thank you for helping make this possible. Your generosity is putting nourishing food into the hands of the children who need it most and reminding parents that we care.

PRISON MINISTRY UPDATE

Working in prisons is an unexpected way to reach a population that desperately needs hope. Feed the Hunger has been involved in several correctional facilities in Oklahoma in recent years, and this year, thanks to a partnership with Elevation Church, we expanded the impact of the gospel to inmates in North Carolina. By serving others, those who have made mistakes in their past can see that transformation is possible through Christ. These incarcerated men and women were able to touch lives despite their circumstances and in turn were blessed by their experience. Join us in praying that these individuals can see that everyone, no matter their circumstances, is loved by the God of the universe and made in his image.

IN JAMAICA

In late October of last year, Hurricane Melissa, a devastating category 5 storm, made landfall in Jamaica. The country continues to rebuild many months later. In York Mountain, even children bear the weight of recovery. Feed the Hunger was able to alleviate a small piece of this burden thanks to the benevolent hearts of our supporters. The care and love these children and their families received showed them that they are not alone or forgotten. They are cherished not only by people who heard their stories but also (and especially) by God. On June 13, our partner Nigel and his team from Elim Gospel Assembly engaged in a mission trip to York Mountain. They were able to reach the people of the area with food and supplies. Feed the Hunger meals were distributed in packages along with other food items, as well as water purchased with relief donations. Around 150 people were blessed with vital provisions. In addition to helping physically, the group used this opportunity to share the gospel within the community. By the power of the Lord, 23 adults and five children surrendered their lives to Christ and began their spiritual walk. In celebration of this, Nigel said, “We are grateful for the support that made this mission possible and look forward to continuing our outreach efforts.” Thank you for stepping up for those who need help, especially in times of crisis. Serving others is an expression of our love for Christ. “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40). Your support helps make the vision of Expand the Outreach a reality and impacts lives for years to come.
