Finishing Strong Together

A WORD from the CEO

Dear Partners in Outreach,

It’s hard to articulate the emotions surrounding the stories I heard as I recently ministered across the border in Mexico. One woman shared about the tragic murder of her husband. A mother and daughter wept in each other’s arms because of the trauma they had both endured and the helplessness they felt. Another mother shared how she and her son fled over 1,200 miles to escape a dangerous domestic situation, hiding between the toilet and engine on a public bus.

These precious people need to know there is hope. The world as a whole so desperately needs a Savior. This is what drives us to expand the outreach with you. The need is not just massive; it is daunting and deep. But God is greater, and we want to steward more for his glory alone.

As we execute outreach in this busiest quarter of the year, we want to share a few stories from the past quarter to encourage you. May these testimonies uplift your heart, and may we continue praying that God is glorified in all we think, say, and do together.

Serving with you,

YOU Met the MATCH

Your giving spirit helped meet a generous $60,000 Bible match this quarter!

Together, we are placing God’s Word into the hands of countless people who are hungry for truth and hope. One of the many places your support is making a spiritual impact is in Ghana, where Feed the Hunger had the privilege of distributing 500 Bibles to high school students in the local Bimoba (Moba) language. Yakubu, a Muslim student, read his new Bible to a classmate. Together, they experienced the joy of reading God’s Word in their heart language for the very first time.

Yakubu said, “I am a Muslim, but reading the Bible in my own language is amazing, and I love what I read. I’m looking forward to reading this to my family when I go home so that we can make a decision together.”

Your gifts are a blessing and are being greatly used, but there are still many who long to have their own copy of God’s Word. Thank you for making a way to share the gospel.

Your Kindness

This summer, you gave Israeli children living in the shadow of war the opportunity to explore the Bible in fun and meaningful ways. Through your support, our ministry partner at Cana Baptist Church gave children the joy of crafts, outdoor activities, games, and music to praise the Lord, all while showing them how much God loves them.

Showers of Blessings in Myanmar at WORK

You blessed 150 orphans across ten children’s homes in Myanmar with essential food items, school supplies, and umbrellas just in time for their first day back to school in the rainy month of June. In Myanmar, schools close during the hottest months of March, April, and May. After a long summer break, the children returned, full of excitement and proudly carrying their new umbrellas to weather the monsoon rains on their way to class. We recognize this as God’s provision for his children, and our collective efforts have eased the burden on the houseparents of these ten orphanages. Feed the Hunger is grateful for the vital role you have played in bringing love and support to these children under their care.

STORY

Nine-year-old Shaon is a third grader in Bangladesh who loves walking to school each day with his younger brother Robin, age seven. Their mother cares for the home while their father works long hours as a daily wage laborer, earning the equivalent of just a few dollars a day.

Shaon is a bright student, but hunger is his daily battle. Many nights, his family went to bed without dinner until God used you to bless his family with nutritious meal packs. This food has been an answer to prayers! With tears in her eyes, his mother shared, “It is hard for us to feed our children. We always worry about the next meal, but now we are grateful and relieved to have food from you.”

Many children suffer the harsh reality of scarcity. But your support means children like Shaon, Robin, and tens of thousands more have a meal to eat, an opportunity to learn, and can dream beyond the limits of poverty. Thank you!

From LOSS to LIVELIHOOD

Mrs. K is the widow of a church planter in Nepal who passed away during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our ministry partner reached out to Feed the Hunger shortly after her husband’s passing, asking for prayer and support. With your faithful contributions, what began as a small piggery and goat farm has now grown into a sustainable livelihood for her and her family. She is now raising five goats, five pigs, and a sheep. Her only son, Pastor J, along with his wife, has stepped in to help expand the farm and ensure its growth.

Though she faced deep loss, Mrs. K has found renewed purpose. Today, she not only provides for her family but also serves faithfully in a prayer and counseling ministry to the women in her church and its daughter churches. Members of her congregation also join in caring for the animals—a beautiful picture of community love and support.

Your prayers and generosity have made this transformation possible. Thank you for giving Mrs. K and her family the gift of hope and sustainability as they continue to share the love of Jesus in their community.

Washed in HIS LOVE

We rejoice at new believers being baptized in Vietnam and Nepal! Left: Members of the persecuted church in Vietnam, where our ministry partner shares the gospel in secret.

“We are overflowing with joy and gratitude to share some wonderful news from Manjushree Elderly Home! Two of our beloved ladies took a beautiful step of faith and were baptized (top photo). It was a truly blessed day, and we rejoiced with them as they publicly declared their commitment to Christ. We recently accepted one more lady into our care. She was born in a Buddhist priest’s family. She is 92 years old, and we believe she will receive Jesus as her Saviour.”

—Manju, Feed the Hunger partner in Nepal

Thank you for praying for new believers around the world.

PARTNERSHIP WITH PURPOSE

A PowerHouse in Mexico

Feed the Hunger has joined forces with PowerHouse Church to reach children and families just across the border in Matamoros, Mexico. This new international collaboration is allowing us to bless migrants in desperate need of compassion and care.

Our presence there with nutritious meal packs and prayers has helped families who have faced unimaginable trauma. Traveling across the border to flee hardship, they’ve faced many dangers along the way. We heard stories of unsafe living conditions, kidnapping, violence, and even death. Many have experienced deep emotional trauma that only the love of God can heal. Our desire is to create opportunities for people to have a real encounter with Jesus, trusting the Holy Spirit to work through every conversation, relationship, and meal that is shared. Thank you for your support, which makes these experiences with Christ possible.

Focusing on Christ in Africa

During our June visit to Africa, we witnessed firsthand how Feed the Hunger’s school feeding programs are helping children grow strong in body and spirit. From Kenya to South Africa, these programs give vulnerable children a safe, loving space to learn, play, and thrive. Through our new partnership with Focus on Christ Ministries in South Africa, the poorest communities are experiencing Christ’s compassion. Feed the Hunger meals are reaching schools, shanty towns, a children’s program in the church, a safe house for abused women and children, and an orphanage where Christ is proclaimed as the source of their help and hope.

In the slums of Durban, South Africa, children grow up in heartbreaking conditions. They live in tin shacks with no running water, and their families survive on little food. We saw children running barefoot on dusty ground, with laughter ringing out, despite their circumstances. A young girl lovingly shared a bite of her Feed the Hunger Beans and Rice with her younger sister. A teenage boy walks miles to school because he believes education is his way out. Together, children of varying ages circled to sing songs of praise to the Lord for his goodness, and our hearts were profoundly touched. They face daily dangers, hunger, and sickness, but carry a spark of hope and an eagerness to be seen, loved, and given a chance. Their teacher at the FOCM children’s program shared a powerful testimony of how Christ transformed her own life and her hope that he will do the same for these children. Caring for Others in Cuba

Feed the Hunger is excited to share what God is doing in Cuba! Through our friendship with Dr. Victor Gonzales, we are partnering with him and 600 other pastors in the Western Baptist Convention who are faithfully sharing the gospel throughout the nation. Because of your support, hundreds of children and families struggling through the hardest economy in years have experienced both nourishment and joy. Economic crisis and a fragile infrastructure have left communities hungry for hope.

Out of Cuba’s 9.7 million people, 90% are living without a relationship with Jesus Christ. The good news is that there is a new openness among the Cubans to hear what Jesus has done for them. This partnership has made it possible for us to build relationships and boldly share the gospel, while trusting God for a revival among the people.

BIG IMPACT BIG MOMENTS

Crossings Community Church, OKC, in Action

An incredible 704,640 meals packed to bless those in need! What an unforgettable reminder of the power of unity, generosity, and faith in action. THANK YOU, Crossings Community, and all those across the country who pack to make an impact. Lives are being changed because of YOU!

Golf to Give Back Was a TREMENDOUS SUCCESS!

This year’s initiative brought together our major tournament and other hosted golf events, raising enough funds to provide nearly 60,000 meals to hungry children in the name of Jesus. Thanks to the enthusiasm of our players, the generosity of our sponsors, and the dedication of our volunteers, our Greensboro event at The Champions Course at Bryan Park turned a day of golf into a lasting impact. We look forward to seeing you again next year!

The Enemies of Jesus

When asked who opposed Jesus, many might say the Romans, Judas, or the angry mob. But Scripture reveals something deeper— passages often overlooked yet profoundly relevant for us today. Though not written to us, the Bible was written for us, to guide our lives. Want to learn more?
