From the Director

Welcome to the Agricultural Institute (AGI)! Opportunity and learning await as you courageously embark on your educational journey. Agriculture is the number one industry in North Carolina and provides meals, shelter, and livelihoods to so many. The agricultural community needs hard-working, innovative, and dedicated individuals to take on the challenges and opportunities it offers. As you join us here at the Agricultural Institute, you will find caring and capable educators and staff ready to help you take your next best steps. The rigor of the academic curriculum is balanced with hands-on experiences in laboratory settings and internship environments. These tips will help you be successful as a college student.
• Go to class! Class attendance is essential for technical and professional training and will help you find a personal connection at this BIG university.
• Engage! Participate in professional and personal activities to build skills you need to integrate into careers and become a positive contributor to society. (Clubs, intramural sports, hobbies etc.)
• Set goals! Personal goal-setting will help you overcome hardships and obstacles. Set reasonable and meaningful ones.
• Connect! At the Agricultural Institute, we believe in the power of connections. We encourage you to meet your professors and build relationships with the many professionals in our community. We are here to support you in every way possible, ensuring that you feel welcomed and supported throughout your journey.
Congratulations on your decision to join the Wolfpack and become a part of the Agricultural Institute! We are proud to have you as a member of our community and we look forward to seeing you strive and succeed, joining the ranks of over 6,500 Agricultural Institute alums.

A student user guide for MyPack portal has been created to better assist the NC State community in navigating MyPack Portal. The student user guide and instructional pages for student tasks is available on the Student Tasks Index page.
WolfPaw

This was the application portal where you submitted your application and heard about your acceptance.
PACK TIP!

AGI students are not required to take any placement tests!
There will be an AGI Math placement test on the second day of orientation for students. Information on how to sign-up to take the placement test can be found on the Moodle site. Please note we are not able to accept the university math placement test.
Summer Advising and Scores

Ag Institute students will begin registering for classes after they have worked through the AGI Orientation Moodle site and completed the AGI Student Credit Survey found on the site. At the end of the survey, each student will be given a class schedule with specific courses and section numbers. Students will then need to login to MyPack Portal and register for their classes without deviating from what was provided by the survey.
There will be 4 optional, virtual, drop in sessions throughout the summer for students who need help registering for classes. There will also be an opportunity for students to get assistance with registration during orientation.
If you have any problems with the survey or class registration and you are unable to attend a drop-in session please contact the Agricultural Institute Office at agricultural_institute@ncsu.edu
Submitting Scores and Transcripts
If you took any AP, IB or courses at a Community College please submit your final test scores and transcript to NC State’s Undergraduate Admissions Office as soon as possible! You can send your scores to: Office of Undergraduate Admissions, NC State University, Campus Box 7103, Raleigh, NC 27695-7103.

AGI students should register for ALL courses that the AGI Student Credit survey populates, even if they believe they have credit for it. The AGI office will be working throughout the summer on verifying transfer credits and will notify a student if their schedule needs to be changed. Please DO NOT change your schedule on your own, unless you have been instructed to do so.
Not sure if your scores will transfer? Review the AP score requirements and IB score requirements.
