of La Raza (NCLR) Annual Conference. The Summit brings together more than 300 students, youth leaders, and young activists from student organizations and youth programs throughout the country that are part of NCLR’s Líderes Network. Participants, ages 14-25, develop leadership and teamwork skills, share experiences, explore ideas for community involvement and empowerment, and discuss issues that face the Latino community, all while taking advantage of the networking and resources of the NCLR Annual Conference. Professionals who work with youth – counselors, advisors, program managers – are also encouraged to attend the program.
Program Overview The Summit begins Friday, July 7 with a Community Service Project working with local NCLR Affiliates. The Summit then continues with youth-led workshops, guest speakers, meals, and a youth “mixer.” Once the main Conference begins on Saturday, the Líderes Summit includes all general conference events, ending Tuesday, July 11, and adds additional Summit-specific activities. Summit activities include the Líderes Contest, which promotes networking and teamwork; a special Youth Pavilion at Latino Expo USA, featuring a cluster of youth-focused exhibits; and a Líderes Youth town hall session that provides a spotlight on youth concerns and views for the broader conference audience.
Title Sponsor ($50,000) • Recognition at all general Líderes Summit activities (announcement, logo, display, corporate banners, as appropriate) • Introduction of one designated corporate representative for two to three minute remarks • One guest speaker (corporate representative or motivational speaker), with topic focused on leadership, at Líderes Summit meal event (subject to availability) or • One workshop slot in the Líderes Summit Program (subject to Summit workshops criteria, availability, and approval of NCLR) • Recognition in Líderes Summit outreach efforts (website, monthly newsletter, email blasts, etc.) • Opportunity for logo placement on Líderes Summit t-shirts, distributed to all participants • Opportunity for inclusion of a corporate give-away in Líderes Summit attendee registration packets (subject to space availability and approval of NCLR) • Up to six full registrations (includes all Líderes Summit and general Conference events) • One reserved table at the Tuesday Luncheon • Up to two booth spaces in Latino Expo USA Youth Pavilion • One full-page advertisement in the Líderes Summit program book • One full-page advertisement in Annual Conference commemorative program book • Full recognition as a Líderes Summit Title Sponsor in Annual Conference program book
