A sentiment carried throughout the Offshore Energy Stakeholders meeting held on 19 March in the Maastoren in Rotterdam. Van Noort speaks of the industry’s need to communicate with one voice and to enhance the visibility and transparent information sharing of the oil, gas and energy industries.

Collaboration and innovation are keys to maximizing recovery from North Sea The North Sea is becoming a mature basin. Production is in decline and investments in exploration are decreasing, while infrastructure ages. Instead of a few big players, many smaller operators, including independents, are trying to squeeze the last reserves out of the subsurface.

Bayards delivers 17 stair towers for BP’s Clair Ridge in January 2014 Just last year, Hyundai Heavy Industries commissioned Bayards Aluminum Construction BV to develop, manufacture and supply 17 stair towers for BP’s famous Clair Ridge: BP’s first ever sanctioned large-scale offshore enhanced oil recovery (EOR) rig. Within less than a year, Bayards was able to deliver custom made stair towers that are fully equipped with aluminum cladding and tested to withstand massive explosions. Weight limitations and the reduction of maintenance costs were the two of the main challenges of this project. These challenges were easily overcome through the use of aluminum, a lightweight material with excellent corrosion resistance, and therefore maintenance-free. Bayards Aluminum Construction BV is one of the world’s leading companies, with over 50 years of experience, in engineering, design, fabrication and installation of complex aluminum structures for the offshore and shipbuilding industry. Structures that include helidecks, helicopter hangars, living quarters, stair towers, external walkways, antenna towers and cage ladders. Meet our Finnish agent: Wulff Entre The story of Wulff Entre began in Turku, Finland in 1919, when the Finnish Export Association was established. In the 1930s, the Association began its involvement in exhibitions as Finnish companies started to use exhibitions as a marketing tool. Today, Wulff Entre, with its workforce of almost 30 professionals, provides services for Finnish and international companies with varied exhibition needs. The company’s business continues to focus on fair and exhibition projects, which we implement around the globe, from individual companies to joint export projects. Our comprehensive exhibition services include: content creation, design services, global project management, country pavilions and, last but not least, exhibition representation in selected industries within the Scandinavian countries. We believe there are potential businesses for the Finnish companies in the Dutch offshore energy market. Based on our experience, we believe Offshore Energy to be a growing and interesting event in which to participate. We are happy to serve all Finnish companies that are seeking business opportunities at Offshore Energy 2014!
