Hey, I’m Dr. Diane!

Ihope you’re all as excited about this issue as I am—our 3rd annual reader-nominated 10Best Awards issue! All of us here at Essential Naples are proud to offer the first reader-nominated awards exclusively for the holistic business community in Southwest Florida. We hope you use this issue as a resource throughout 2026.

“Our

SWFL holistic practitioners are extremely passionate about helping their local communities, and all our winners are overwhelmingly grateful to you, our reader, for helping to bring more awareness to all the amazing natural and ecofriendly choices we have in this great area of Florida.”

—Dr.

Diane Hayden, PhD

We hope this issue inspires you to reach out to these amazing people and support them. Our SWFL holistic practitioners are extremely passionate about helping their local communities, and all our winners are overwhelmingly grateful to you, our reader, for helping to bring more awareness to all the amazing natural and ecofriendly choices we have in this great area of Florida.

Spring is just around the corner, and for many of us, it’s a time to put our attention on spring cleaning—not just for our homes, but for our health. In fact, I just finished an amazing book, The Circadian Code by Satchin Panda, PhD, an award-winning circadian rhythm and aging researcher. In his book, you’ll discover how to align your lifestyle with your body’s natural clock for better overall health and longevity. With our modern, technology-based society, we’ve gotten so far away from the natural rhythms that keep our bodies healthy. We’re up way too late at night looking at screens on our phones, computers, or even TVs.

This unnatural light signals to our brain that we should be awake and suppresses melatonin production, which is why we then have trouble falling asleep. This sets off a cascade of biological disturbances in the body from increases in blood sugar and cortisol to decreases in disease-fighting cellular activity. Also, many of us do not get nearly enough natural sunlight, which we are now discovering can cause chronic disease. We should be outside for at least 20 minutes each day in direct sunlight—preferably in the early morning.

The book lays out a concrete plan to enhance weight loss, improve sleep, optimize exercise, and manage technology so that it doesn’t interfere with your body’s natural rhythm. Dr. Panda’s life-changing methods show you the keys to avoiding and alleviating chronic ailments like diabetes, cancer, and dementia, as well as digestive conditions like acid reflux, heartburn, and irritable bowel disease.

I’ve made a conscious effort to apply at least one method each month, such as adjusting my bed and wake times, time-restricted eating, the time of day I exercise, getting morning sunlight, and when to do most of my work for the day. I’m excited to see how I feel over the next few months. Give it a try— I’d love to hear how it’s working for you!

Wishing you health and happiness, Dr. Diane Hayden, PhD Publisher & Owner, ELM Publishing

A New Breed of Financial Advisor Who Treats

Take Responsibility: Self-Health 101

As the author of The Pancreatic Oath and Forget Dieting! , I have long advocated for preventative medicine and metabolic literacy. Now, I’m expanding that mission with the launch of my six-week online course, Self-Health 101.

In my six-week course, participants will learn how to check their glucose 90 minutes after a meal or snack, identify which foods stabilize glucose versus cause spikes, build a personalized grocery list, and adjust meal composition based on real bio-individual data. The program teaches participants to become their own primary caregivers, with physicians serving as secondary support.

The curriculum includes:

•Data-driven fueling

•Blood glucose awareness

•Understanding the insulin response

•Preventative metabolic strategies

•Sustainable weight management and improved health

I am not promoting another diet. I believe it is time for a cultural shift from dieting to a lifestyle of fueling for health. My Pancreatic Nutritional Program and Data-Driven Fueling coaching programs challenge individuals to take their health and weight seriously by respecting their pancreas, understanding the roles that glucose and insulin play in their well-being, and having the courage to take more control of their weight and medical destiny.

My message is simple: health begins with what you put in your mouth. Take responsibility.

Candice P. Rosen is a registered nurse, social worker, nutritionist, health counselor, and author. She is the creator of The Pancreatic Nutritional Program and Data-Driven Fueling. She has devoted her life’s work to improving the wellness of both her clients and her community. She advocated for preventive medicine, improved disability access, promoted maternal and infant health, and worked to raise awareness of the global obesity and diabetes epidemics. PAdvancing Regenerative Dentistry Through Education

ure Dental Naples is proud to announce that Dr. Josephine Perez, DMD, has joined the Ghanaati Education International Curriculum, an advanced training program focused on biologically driven surgical techniques and jawbone regeneration.

Dr. Perez previously completed the Maxi Residency in Biological Dentistry and Surgery at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, a program dedicated to integrative and biologically based dental care. Her continued training reflects a strong commitment to advancing regenerative approaches within modern dentistry.

The Ghanaati Curriculum was developed by Shaaram Ghanaati, PhD, MD, DMD, a triple board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, plastic and reconstructive surgeon, and physician. The program connects an international community of clinicians focused on surgical excellence, collaboration, and lifelong learning in regenerative dental medicine.

Due to the highly specialized nature of this training, fewer than 50 doctors worldwide have completed this curriculum or are currently enrolled in it, making it one of the most selective educational pathways in biologically driven jawbone regeneration.

Dr. Ghanaati is also widely recognized for his contributions to the evolution of platelet-based regenerative therapies used in dentistry, working alongside leaders in regenerative research such as Richard Miron, DMD, MD, PhD, and Robert Talac, orthopedic surgeon for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. These innovations have advanced the clinical use of platelet-based regenerative materials, including platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) and platelet-rich growth factors (PRGF)—biological materials that support healing and tissue regeneration.

Through continued education and international collaboration, clinicians like Dr. Perez are helping bring emerging regenerative techniques into everyday dental care while advancing the future of biologically centered dentistry.

Dr. Josephine Perez is a certified biological dentist at Pure Dental Naples, focusing on regenerative dentistry, whole-body dental health, and advanced jawbone regeneration. 10Best Functional Medicine/ Integrative MD/Biological Dentist

My path into this field is deeply personal. I always knew I wanted to work in medicine and help others, but my own health challenges ultimately shaped my direction. In 2016, I underwent an unsuccessful surgery that left me unable to use my left hip the way I once could. As a former dual-sport collegiate athlete, I found this incredibly difficult. I was introduced to regenerative medicine (PRP and stem cell therapy), which truly changed my life and opened my eyes to a different way of healing.

Then, in 2017, I was involved in a serious car accident that resulted in a mild traumatic brain injury, disc herniations, and neurological symptoms. I was prescribed several medications, but instead of improving, I felt worse. That experience pushed me to dig deeper. With my dad, I began researching alternative therapies, which led me to hyperbaric oxygen therapy, advanced bloodwork analysis, targeted supplementation, and peptide therapy. That journey not only helped me heal, but it also solidified my purpose.

I’m passionate about my work because I’ve experienced firsthand how powerful it is— what many would consider “miracles.” It transformed my own life, and now I have the privilege of helping others experience that same level of healing. Too often, patients are given medications that temporarily mask symptoms while creating new issues. My approach is different. I focus on root-cause medicine by identifying and correcting underlying dysfunction, leveraging the body’s innate ability to heal, and being supported by advanced, evidence-based therapies. I travel internationally to learn the latest innovations in functional and regenerative medicine so we can bring the most advanced therapies back to our patients. At our center, we take a comprehensive approach combining detailed bloodwork analysis with therapies such as EBO2 (an “oil change” for the body), NAD+, peptides, regenerative medicine (stem cells, exosomes, PRP), IV therapy, hormone replacement therapy, hair regeneration, ozone-based treatments, and more, to support everything from complex chronic conditions to longevity and overall wellness.

I genuinely love what I do. My patients become like family, and it never feels like work. Some of the most meaningful moments are when patients share life-changing updates: hearing that someone is cancer-free, seeing improvements in cognitive decline, or helping reverse chronic conditions like atrial fibrillation or asthma.

I’ve also had the privilege of helping patients overcome addictions: whether it’s vaping, smoking, alcohol, or prescription medications, we often use therapies like NAD+, IVs, and peptides to support neurological healing and recovery. Being trusted by professional athletes with their health and performance is another highlight, and I’m incredibly grateful for it. Helping patients recover from vaccine-related injuries and regain their quality of life is so meaningul to me. Beyond that, helping patients feel like themselves again or even better than they’ve felt in years is what makes this work so fulfilling.

My vision is to expand this model of care and make it more accessible. I plan to grow the practice and eventually franchise in both Florida and Pennsylvania, where I’m originally from, so I can bring advanced longevity and regenerative therapies to more communities. I also want to continue expanding our offerings by integrating therapies like hyperbaric oxygen therapy, sauna, and cold plunge, as well as lifestyle modalities such as yoga, breathwork, and meditation. I will continue traveling internationally to stay at the forefront of functional and integrative medicine, ensuring that we’re always bringing the most advanced, effective treatments to our patients. My goal is to create a space where people can truly optimize their health, longevity, and overall quality of life.

Lisa Brown Wholefood-Chef & Wellness Educator

Free Flowing Health

I’mLisa Brown, founder of Free Flowing Health and a sought-after personal chef in Southwest Florida known for refined, health-conscious cuisine crafted exclusively in clients’ homes. With over two decades of culinary expertise, I specialize in customized weekly meal preparation, private dinner parties, and elevated event dining—tailored to reflect each client’s preferences, nutritional needs, and lifestyle goals. Guided by the belief that exceptional food shapes how people feel and perform, I bring both precision and intention to every kitchen I enter.

Originally from New York City, I studied at the Natural Gourmet Institute, where I received formal training in health-supportive culinary arts. That foundation shaped my philosophy early on: food should be both deeply nourishing and genuinely delicious.

After years in professional kitchens—and navigating my own health challenges—I transitioned from the traditional restaurant model to a more intimate, in-home culinary practice. Rather than serving guests in a dining room, I partner directly with individuals and families in their own spaces, where consistent, personalized support leads to meaningful, lasting results. My approach begins with understanding each client’s goals and rhythms, then designing menus that integrate seamlessly into daily life.

Some of my most fulfilling moments arise when clients reach personal milestones. Whether through improved health markers, renewed strength after challenging seasons, increased energy, or the peace of mind that comes from knowing meals are intentionally aligned with their goals, these quiet victories matter deeply. For me, they reflect trust, collaboration, and the transformative power of food prepared with care.

I believe that my ability to unite elevated culinary techniques with attentiveness, discretion, and seamless hospitality sets me apart. Every menu begins with listening. Every ingredient is selected with intention. Every experience is executed with refinement, allowing clients to feel fully supported and present in their own homes. From busy professionals seeking efficiency and balance to families navigating specific dietary needs, my work remains highly personalized and profoundly thoughtful.

My vision is to expand Free Flowing Health across Southwest Florida— raising the standard for in-home personal chef services while continuing to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those I serve.

Dr. Carol L. Roberts, MD

This year will be a huge year for change in many ways. Most people are seeing the world they knew crumbling and chaotic, and the new world barely beginning to take shape. But rest assured, it is emerging.

The year of the Fire Horse represents an exciting opportunity for me—to come out of the closet and declare my many years of interest in the psychedelic world. I have done shamanic training and have experienced different types of “medicines.”

For me, I will continue to practice integrative/ functional/good medicine at the Naples Center for Functional Medicine and contribute to a website about consciousness called GrokingWholeness.info. For one year, three others and I—an engineer, a journalist, and a social worker—have been writing, interviewing, and conferencing on consciousness. This year, we are adding a dimension— the actual experience of altered consciousness by offering three-day retreats, legal, supervised, and conducted by medical doctors, in a shamanic framework, with deep respect for the power and potential of the altered states induced by ketamine. And, we hope, affordable to many serious seekers who can’t just pop over to Costa Rica or Peru.

It will happen at a private multi-acre estate, secluded but convenient to find. More retreats to come as we approach the year open-hearted and with courage to change and grow.

SPOTLIGHT

Susie Bagwell, I Love Oils, Inc

Blue Diamond dōTERRA

Wellness Advocate

10BEST Health Coach

In the world of holistic health, “belief” is often treated as a feeling. But for me, belief is a measurable outcome. A former massage therapist and long-standing Blue Diamond dōTERRA Wellness Advocate, I have spent nearly twenty years proving that the intersection of nature’s purity and modern science is where true transformation happens. My approach to wellness consulting isn’t just about sharing a product; it’s about building a foundation of trust through nearly two decades of experience and the latest advancements in wellness technology.

My journey began in 2008, when I joined dōTERRA at its inception and witnessed its rise to the top of the global essential oil market. However, my authority doesn’t come from a title; it comes from the miles I have traveled. I have made it my mission to go where the plants grow, touring dōTERRA’s facilities in the United States and participating in Co-Impact Sourcing trips to Kenya.

By standing in the fields and visiting the laboratories, I have seen firsthand the rigorous testing and ethical sourcing that define high-quality oils. This depth of knowledge allows me to speak with a level of certainty that is rare in the industry. When I recommend a protocol, it is backed by the history of a company I have grown with for nearly twenty years.

While my roots are in traditional touch therapies, my current process has evolved far beyond past methods. I recognize that for wellness to be sustainable, it must be personalized. To achieve this, I utilize the latest in AI-powered biometric scanning technology.

By using advanced imaging that analyzes subtle physiological markers, I can help clients see a snapshot of their current state of wellness.

This technology uses markers such as stress indicators and heart rate variability to provide data-backed insights into what the body needs. Instead of a “one-size-fits-all” suggestion, I use these scans alongside the latest clinical research and publications to curate packages that are both affordable and highly specific to the individual’s goals. Despite embracing high-tech diagnostics, I remain deeply connected to the power of physical application. As a dōTERRA AromaTouch Advocate, I am an expert in the AromaTouch Technique— a clinical approach to essential oil application. I attend annual trainings to ensure my technique aligns with the most current research on how oils interact with the body’s meridians and visceral contact points. This blend of high-tech and high-touch ensures that every client receives a comprehensive experience that addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of health.

Building belief, as noted in recent industry l eadership studies, requires moving from hype to grounded confidence. I provide that ground, replacing the guessing game of wellness with a sophisticated system of evidence, technology, and decades of hands-on experience.

For those looking to move toward a more natural lifestyle without sacrificing scientific rigor, the path forward is clear. The most effective way to begin is to schedule a personal wellness consultation at my office. There, you can experience a biometric scan for yourself and work with a mentor who has spent a lifetime mastering the tools of vitality.

Pure Dental Naples Biological Arts

10Best Functional Medicine/Integrative MD/Biological Dentist

AtPure Dental Naples, we do it all. We treat our patients holistically: treating the mouth and teeth as part of the whole body, emphasizing the connection between dental health and overall health, using biocompatible materials, avoiding toxins (like mercury and nickel), and promoting natural remedies.

We take a biological approach, considering the impact of dental materials and procedures on the body’s biology, avoiding harmful materials, and supporting the body’s natural healing abilities. We test for material biocompatibility, addressing the oral-systemic health links and focusing on minimally invasive procedures. We practice principles of functional medicine, focusing on the underlying causes of dental issues and identifying and treating the root causes of dental problems, not just symptoms. We integrate nutrition, lifestyle, and systemic health in treatment plans utilizing advanced diagnostics.

We are an integrative practice that combines traditional dental practices with alternative and complementary therapies and provides a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses dental and overall health. We use therapies such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, and nutritional counseling alongside conventional treatments. We practice wellness dentistry, maintaining optimal health and preventing disease through dental care. We emphasize preventive care and overall wellness and promote a healthy lifestyle, regular check-ups, and preventive treatments to maintain dental and general health.

We also practice biomimetic dentistry, mimicking the natural structure, function, and aesthetics of teeth, preserving as much of the natural tooth structure as possible, and restoring its original strength and function. And we use advanced adhesive techniques and materials that closely replicate natural tooth properties, focusing on minimally invasive restorations that integrate seamlessly with natural teeth.

At Pure Dental Naples, it’s not only being “metal free”—it’s knowing how to safely remove it to protect the patients as well as the staff and the environment. It’s about knowing which materials are compatible with each person, and knowing how to test for it. It’s not only about using ozone—it’s about knowing its science, its half-life, safety, its purest form, and the concentrations necessary to achieve it.

It’s not only about being fluoride-free— it’s about recalcification modalities and nutritional aspects that help make teeth stronger. It’s about knowing how to read laboratory results and understanding that your body has the ability to heal if we just remove the roadblocks. It’s about having a whole team of specialists on the same page, working together and using their own specialty to achieve the best outcomes.

Our whole team is certified and ready to reach the common goal—maintaining health and quality of life.

At Pure Dental Naples, we love questions... and we love what we do!

10Best Holistic Weight Loss

Ina world saturated with diet trends, prescription solutions, and reactive medicine, I have spent nearly two decades championing something radically different: self-health.

Long before continuous glucose monitors became mainstream, I began pioneering the use of glucose tracking in 2006 as a tool for weight loss and metabolic health. As a registered nurse, social worker, researcher, nutritionist, and author, I bring a rare dual lens to wellness, combining clinical precision with behavioral insight. Physiology matters, but so do habits, stress management, mindset, and daily decision-making.

We do not have a healthcare system. We have a disease management system. Rather than mask symptoms with medication, I focus on root causes, specifically eating to protect the pancreas and the powerful relationship between glucose and insulin and their effects on health and weight.

I refer to glucose and insulin as the destructive duo when chronically mismanaged. My research suggests that many noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, type 2 diabetes, low testosterone, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, renal dysfunction, and certain cancers, may be influenced by long-term metabolic dysregulation due to excess glucose and insulin.

I define pancreatic abuse as repeatedly elevating blood glucose above optimal levels, particularly readings above 100 mg/dL ninety minutes after eating. The target range is clear. Your goal should be to maintain blood glucose between 70 and 100 mg/dL to support weight regulation and long-term health. Since I believe the body is an organic machine, it performs best when properly fueled. Unfortunately, your mouth is not supposed to have a party at every meal!

In addition, I have partnered with the ProActive Health app, developed by Jordan Dunin of HatchPath and Dr. Steven DeAngeles, M.D., to spread the importance of mindful eating for pancreas protection and weight loss. Unlike traditional meal tracking tools, the app uses predictive modeling and food photography to anticipate potential glucose spikes before they occur. When paired with a continuous glucose monitor or traditional fingerstick testing glucometer, technology becomes a tool for proactive stewardship rather than reactive treatment.

I am deeply excited about the app because it represents an important moment where technology has finally caught up with what I have taught for years: disease prevention, weight loss, and even the reversal of NCDs can be achieved through stable glucose and insulin levels.

Become your own health advocate. You deserve to know your numbers. You deserve to understand how your body responds to fuel. You deserve to actively participate in your own health journey and, hopefully, become an example for your family and friends.

Nick & PJ Thakkar

The DRIPBaR Naples

Nick and PJ Thakkar, co-owners of The DRIPBaR Naples, are the perfect team to provide health and wellness options, uniquely qualified to ensure the highest safety standards for their guests.

PJ is a pharmacist with over 20 years of compounding experience. Her holistic background offers the perfect mix of traditional and holistic remedies. Nick’s role is more business-focused, with experience running multiple companies and seeing the need for this unique community wellness opportunity in Naples.

The team at The DRIPBaR Naples is made up of registered nurses and guest services professionals who blend clinical expertise with genuine hospitality. Every nurse is licensed and trained in IV therapy, ozone therapy, and the studio’s safety protocols, ensuring each session is both safe and comfortable. The front desk team guides guests through intake and scheduling, and answers questions in clear language. Staff members work closely together to create a calm, supportive environment where every guest feels seen and cared for.

Nurses provide steady monitoring throughout each session, adjusting for comfort and explaining every step. The staff’s approach is warm and educational, helping guests set realistic expectations and routines without pressure. Beyond the lounge, the team actively participates in local wellness events, charity fundraisers, and partnerships with gyms, making community engagement a core part of their mission.

The people at The DRIPBaR take health and wellness very seriously because they know that quality care demands adherence to the highest safety standards. They follow strict safety protocols, with a medical director overseeing the compounds to ensure their efficacy and safety. Their high safety standards ensure peace of mind that all treatments and facilities are free of microbial contaminants in a USP 797-guidelined laboratory with registered nurses preparing the drips in a sterile mixing hood.

At the DRIPBaR, your infusions are mixed fresh right in front of you, so you know exactly what is going into your drip. Their drips also have a more robust vitamin content than those offered by other facilities. All these factors significantly impact IV therapy care.

The DRIPBaR is focused on helping people obtain their best health using advances in IV therapies. Their health drips and lifestyle drips can increase energy, fight the signs of aging, help you recover when you’re not feeling your best, and more. They have taken their drips and IM quick shots and created carefully curated programs to help you reach your goals. Their IV drips are powerful on their own, and when paired with other drips and supplements, they can provide even greater benefits. Specific wellness desires can be even more targeted—whether it’s weight loss (medical and natural), cancer support (with high-dose vitamin C and ozone therapy), anti-aging, or brain health (NAD+ and ALA), the DRIPBaR can help.

In addition to IV therapy, the DRIPBaR offers services such as IR sauna, halo therapy, red/blue light therapy, and leg compressions. While their centers are at the highest levels of sterility, they are anything but cold. Guests of the DRIPBaR enjoy a comfortable, relaxing, warm space for their IV therapy. The DRIPBaR team will be happy to discuss their programs and help you decide which of their services is best for your needs. We look forward to helping you reach your health goals.

Elizabeth Pezzello

Elizabeth Pezzello Nutrition & Fitness

Asa nutritionist and personal trainer, I love providing my clients with fully tailored programs that match their unique goals and lifestyles. Nutrition and fitness go hand in hand; to make significant, lasting changes, you have to focus on both.

My approach is unique because I meet my clients exactly where they are. We can’t implement a dozen changes at once and expect them to stick. After reviewing your intake form and connecting via a deep-dive call, I identify three specific pillars to focus on—typically a strategic blend of lifestyle, nutrition, and fitness habits.

As a certified trainer and bodybuilder, I create custom workout programs tailored to your experience level and gym access. We’ll assess your form and discuss the benefits of progressive overload to ensure you’re training effectively. I am a firm believer that muscle is the “longevity organ”— while building it takes time and patience, it is 100% worth the effort.

My business offers virtual support for both nutrition and fitness, including live video call workouts, so I can keep you motivated and correct your form in real time. I am deeply passionate about spreading the word that changes in body composition are possible, even if they don’t happen overnight. My mission is to help you stay focused by consistently reminding you why you started this journey in the first place.

Floating + ABC Therapy

Painmanifests itself in many ways and is often a signal that something is out of balance. Now is the time to put your body and mind back into harmony. Floating and Advanced BioStructural Correction (ABC) are two powerful therapies and when combined, they generate tremendous health benefits.

Floating for Chronic Pain

Floating involves entering a float pod containing 10 inches of water and 1,000 pounds of pharmaceutical grade magnesium sulfite. When you float, your body can absorb up to 27% of the recommended daily amount of this much-needed mineral. Oral supplements cannot provide this quantity of magnesium.

Restricted environmental stimulation technique (REST), more commonly known as floating, has been around for many years. However, it has only been in the past 20 years that in-depth research has been conducted to determine the extent that floatation has on chronic pain, autoimmune diseases, muscular diseases, PTSD, stress, anxiety, and depression.

Due to the weightlessness and sensory restriction experience in the float tank, floatation therapy can aid with relief of pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis, chronic osteoarthritis, sports-related injuries, migraines, back and joint pain, fibromyalgia, tendonitis, bursitis, and traumatic injuries. Removing the weight generated from gravity, floating helps relieve chronic pain, allowing the pressure on the spine to release and increasing blood flow to areas in need of healing, helping to stimulate the body’s own natural power of healing and regeneration.

The reticular activating system (RAS) found in the brain stem, normally responsible for alerting the body to fight or flight responses and for regulating pain sensations, turns its focus away from external stimuli and begins focusing on internal stimuli. This redirection of the RAS toward internal

stimuli allows you to lose the sensation of being connected to the body. Floating also stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for the relaxation response. The release of tension in the body and lowering of stress hormones may also be responsible for the pain relief.

Floating and ABC Therapy

The pharmaceutical grade magnesium sulfite utilized in floating solves the significant problem of magnesium deficiency (studies show 80% of the population is deficient in magnesium). Another primary issue people suffer from is mechanical— the body can and does get misaligned in a way that it cannot self-correct. This specific misalignment is when any vertebra from the base of the neck down to L5 (the last movable bone in the spine) becomes misaligned in the forward direction, and we do not have a muscle or a combination of muscles that can correct this misalignment. As a result, the whole body twists up slightly to compensate for this mechanical problem. Over the course of a lifetime the body compensates in many ways, with many layers of compensation, leading to many different physical problems. Headaches, back and neck pain, joint pain, tight muscles, difficulty breathing, nerve tension, and poor posture are some examples of conditions created by these mechanical problems. Dr. Brian E. Huffman, DC, located within the Cloud9 Float Spa & Wellness Center, specializes in advanced biostructural correction (ABC) therapy, which is designed to correct the primary issue of misalignment, allowing his patients’ bodies to release or “unwind” and resulting in relief and improved resting posture. When ABC treatments are combined with floating, the body experiences relief and greatly improved health. Floating combined with ABC therapy is an easy, natural, and enjoyable way to free yourself from chronic pain without the use of drugs or invasive techniques. Want a more pain-free lifestyle? Book your appointment today!

The Art of “Playing” with Plants: Why Practice Makes Perfect

Building a wellness routine is a lot like learning a new language; you don’t wait until you’re in a foreign country to start practicing your first words. The same principle applies to essential oils. I always encourage my clients to start “playing” with their oils during the quiet, normal moments of life. Diffuse a new scent while you’re reading, add a drop of citrus to your morning water, or rub a soothing blend on your feet before bed. By experimenting now, you discover which aromas resonate with your biology and which applications feel most natural to you. This familiarity is vital. When a stressful day hits or you feel a seasonal threat looming, you won’t be fumbling with bottles or searching for instructions. You will already have the “muscle memory” and the confidence to reach for exactly what you need, turning your oils into a seamless, intuitive part of your daily vitality.

As you grow more comfortable, you can begin to layer your oils with intention, creating simple rituals that support different parts of your day. For example, energizing oils like peppermint or citrus can become part of your morning routine, helping you feel alert and focused, while grounding oils like lavender or cedarwood can signal to your body that it’s time to unwind. Over time, these small, consistent actions build a rhythm that your

body recognizes and responds to, reinforcing a sense of balance and well-being.

It’s also important to approach this practice with curiosity rather than perfection. Not every oil will resonate with you, and that’s part of the process. Pay attention to how your body and mood respond, and adjust accordingly. Keeping a simple journal of what you try and how you feel can be incredibly helpful in identifying patterns and preferences. The more you engage with your oils in a relaxed, intentional way, the more empowered and intuitive your wellness routine will become.

Universal Safety Guidelines

• Dilution is key: Always use a carrier oil (like Fractionated Coconut Oil) when applying “hot” oils or when using oils on children and those with sensitive skin.

• Sensitivity: Avoid the “triangle of sensitivity”: the eyes, inside the ears, and inside the nose.

• Storage: Store your oils in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain their potency and chemical integrity.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Play More, Hurt Less: Why Golfers and Pickleballers Choose Human Tecar Therapy

If“Human

Tecar therapy goes deeper still, penetrating to the very core of affected muscles, tendons, and joints to treat the root cause of pain and dysfunction, not just the layers closest to the surface.”

—Lisa H Sprague, MSS, PTA, LMT

you play golf or pickleball, you know the feeling—a nagging elbow, a stiff lower back, a shoulder that just won’t quit complaining. These sports are joyful, social, and endlessly addictive, but they are also surprisingly hard on the body. The good news? You do not have to choose between the sport you love and a life without pain. Human Tecar therapy is helping active players of all levels recover faster, move more freely, and stay in the game longer than ever before.

Two of the fastest-growing sports in America share a common problem: they are deceptively demanding on the body. The repetitive rotational movements of a golf swing place enormous stress on the lower back, hips, shoulders, and elbows. Golfer’s elbow, rotator cuff strains, lumbar pain, and knee discomfort are among the most common complaints keeping players off the course.

Pickleball’s explosive lateral movements, rapid direction changes, and constant wrist and overhead action bring their own wave of injuries— tennis elbow, Achilles tendinopathy, knee pain, and shoulder impingement.

Human Tecar therapy targets all these conditions with deep radiofrequency energy, reducing inflammation, restoring tissue flexibility, and getting players back to what they love faster than conventional treatments allow.

What Is Human Tecar Therapy?

Human Tecar—which stands for Transfer of Capacitive and Resistive Energy—is an advanced biophysical therapy that uses radiofrequency energy to stimulate the body’s natural healing mechanisms from within. Unlike surface-level treatments, Tecar therapy works by generating endogenous heat deep inside tissues, targeting the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints that golf and pickleball stress day after day. This internal energy transfer accelerates biological

repair processes, promotes circulation, and reduces inflammation—all without surgery or invasive procedures.

Why Tecar Therapy Outperforms Other Treatments

While treatments such as shockwave therapy, laser therapy, ultrasound, and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) have their place in managing musculoskeletal pain, they can only reach so deep into the body’s tissues. Human Tecar therapy goes deeper, penetrating to the very core of affected muscles, tendons, and joints to treat the root cause of pain and dysfunction, not just the layers closest to the surface. For a golfer battling chronic lower back tightness or a pickleball player with persistent elbow pain, this distinction is everything. The radiofrequency energy activates cellular metabolism, boosts ATP production, and enhances oxygen delivery to injured areas, resulting in faster tissue regeneration and significantly shorter time away from the game. Moreover, Tecar therapy is nonthermal at low intensities, making it suitable for acute injuries where heat would otherwise be contraindicated. Clinicians can precisely control energy levels to match each patient’s unique condition, ensuring a personalized treatment that evolves with the healing process.

Proven Results Across a Wide Range of Conditions

Human Tecar therapy has demonstrated impressive clinical outcomes across a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions. Whether the complaint is a golf-related rotator cuff strain, a pickleball-induced Achilles injury, post-surgical stiffness, or chronic back and neck pain, Tecar consistently delivers measurable improvements in pain scores, range of motion, and functional ability.

Players recovering from muscle tears, tendinopathies, and ligament injuries benefit from dramatically accelerated tissue repair, allowing them to return to the course or court sooner and more safely. Patients with osteoarthritis and chronic joint pain—common among older golfers and pickleball enthusiasts—report sustained reductions in discomfort and improved mobility, often after just a handful of sessions. For those dealing with myofascial pain or deep muscular tension built up from years of repetitive sport, Tecar therapy restores proper tissue function in ways that standard physiotherapy simply cannot match.

A Safe, Comfortable, and Efficient Treatment Experience

One of the most compelling advantages of Human Tecar therapy is its therapeutic comfort. Patients typically describe the experience as deeply relaxing, with a warm, soothing sensation spreading through the treated area. There is no downtime, no recovery period, and sessions last just 20 to 45 minutes—easy to schedule around your tee time or next pickleball match. The safety profile is excellent, with decades of clinical use across Europe and a growing body of international research supporting its efficacy among physiotherapists, sports medicine physicians, and rehabilitation specialists worldwide.

In a field crowded with devices and therapies that promise more than they deliver, Human Tecar stands apart as a treatment that is both evidencebased and transformative. Whether you are chasing a lower handicap or dominating the pickleball court, it gives your body the deep, targeted healing it needs to keep you playing at your best.

The Equation:Energy

What Your Fatigue Is Trying to Tell You

I“With

just a halfinch hair sample, this specialized testing can reveal intolerant and therapeutic foods, mineral imbalances and depletion, toxic metal exposure, metabolic stress patterns, adrenal activity indicators, and longterm biochemical trends.”

—Denise

A. Pancyrz, CHN, DSS™

f you’ve been feeling more drained, unfocused, or foggy than usual, you’re part of a growing trend. Fatigue has become one of the most common concerns among adults—yet it’s also one of the most misunderstood. Many people assume low energy is simply part of aging or juggling a busy life, but persistent fatigue is not normal. It’s a sign that something deeper in the body needs attention.

Fatigue is rarely caused by just one thing. Instead, it’s often the result of interconnected nutritional, digestive, metabolic, and hormonal imbalances slowly wearing down your energy reserves. When you learn how to decode the signals your body is sending, you begin to understand that fatigue isn’t a character flaw or a lack of motivation—it’s a symptom.

Energy Begins with Nutrition

Your nutrition determines your fuel. But even the healthiest diet won’t deliver energy if your body isn’t absorbing nutrients properly. Many people are shocked to discover that they’re deficient in key vitamins and minerals—despite eating well. Low levels of magnesium, B vitamins, amino acids, or iron can make your energy tank feel perpetually empty. And if you find yourself relying on coffee or sugar to stay functional, it’s a sign that your body is trying to borrow energy it doesn’t actually have.

Gut Health: The Root of Energy, Mood, and Metabolism

If nutrition is the fuel, your gut is the engine. The gut breaks down food, produces vitamins, regulates inflammation, and communicates directly with your brain through the gut–brain axis. When digestion isn’t working well, neither is your energy production.

An imbalanced gut can lead to poor nutrient absorption, increased inflammation, blood sugar swings, brain fog, hormonal disruption, and chronic fatigue.

If you’ve ever felt tired for “no reason,” your digestive system may be quietly waving a red flag.

The Missing Piece: Blood Tests Rarely Run

This is where deeper investigation makes all the difference. Standard bloodwork often gives a false sense of reassurance because it focuses only on basic markers. Many people are told their labs are “normal,” yet they still feel exhausted. That’s because traditional panels don’t measure the deeper markers tied to chronic fatigue.

Functional blood testing looks at what standard testing leaves out, including:

•Full thyroid panel: Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3, thyroid antibodies

•Fasting insulin (not just glucose)

• Advanced inflammatory markers

•Full iron panel: ferritin, TIBC, iron saturation

•Vitamin and mineral status

•Cortisol patterns

•Comprehensive metabolic markers beyond the basics

These tests help explain why “normal” doesn’t always mean healthy.

How Hair Analysis Adds Another Layer of Insight

Blood tests show what’s happening right now— but hair analysis shows what’s been building up over months. With just a half-inch hair sample, this specialized testing can reveal intolerant and therapeutic foods, mineral imbalances and depletion, toxic metal exposure, metabolic stress

patterns, adrenal activity indicators, and long-term biochemical trends. This is especially important because minerals regulate hormones, digestion, muscle function, metabolism, and—yes—energy.

When blood and hair testing are combined, they create a 360-degree view of what’s draining your vitality.

Hormones: The Hidden Drivers of Fatigue

Hormones don’t need to be “out of range” to cause problems. Even slight shifts can drain energy. Cortisol, thyroid hormones, insulin, progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone all play essential roles in energy, mood, metabolism, and mental clarity.

When these hormones drift from optimal levels, you may experience afternoon crashes, brain fog, weight changes, poor stress tolerance, mood swings, trouble sleeping, and cravings.

Addressing hormones without looking at gut health, minerals, and nutrition is like replacing a lightbulb when the wiring is faulty.

Energy Is a Measure of Internal Balance

The truth is simple: fatigue is not a personality trait—it’s a physiological imbalance. Your body is constantly communicating, and low energy is one of the clearest messages it sends.

When you address the root causes—nutrition, digestive health, hidden imbalances, mineral patterns, and optimal hormonal function—your energy returns naturally. You don’t have to force it. You don’t have to “push through.” You don’t have to accept exhaustion as your new normal.

The Bottom Line

You deserve to feel energized, clearheaded, and motivated. Fatigue is not something you have to live with. With proper testing and a personalized approach, you can identify exactly what your body needs—and rebuild your vitality from the inside out.

Three Years of Trust: Robotic Pain Relief Awarded 10Best

Beingrecognized by Essential Naples Magazine as one of Naples’ 10 Best Bodywork for the third consecutive year is truly an honor. We are grateful to the Naples community and to the many clients who have trusted us to help them find solutions for chronic pain.

Searching for Better Solutions to Chronic Pain

Over the years, we have had countless clients who have spent months—or even years—searching for relief from conditions such as back pain, knee pain, shoulder injuries, sciatica, tennis elbow, and plantar fasciitis. Many have tried medications, injections, or traditional therapies that provided only temporary improvement.

At Naples Robotic Pain Relief, we offer a different approach, one that focuses on identifying and addressing the underlying muscular dysfunction that contributes to pain. The source of the pain, as opposed to treating the symptoms.

Why Robotic Muscle Therapy Is Different

We use advanced technology to evaluate and precisely treat contracted muscles that are creating dysfunction. Our treatment allows

us to deliver consistent, targeted stimulation to muscles that are too difficult to access with traditional therapy techniques.

Rather than simply treating the area where pain is felt, our goal is to identify the deeper muscular imbalances that may be contributing to the problem.

The Importance of the Body’s Foundational Muscles

Two of the most important muscles we evaluate are the psoas and the pectoral muscles. These foundational muscles play a major role in posture, stability, and healthy movement.

The Role of the Psoas

The psoas is a deep core muscle that connects the legs to the torso. One of the largest muscles in the body, it stabilizes posture and powers everyday movements such as walking, bending, and climbing stairs. When the psoas becomes shortened from prolonged sitting, it can pull the pelvis and spine out of alignment and compress vertebrae and discs.

Common symptoms associated with psoas dysfunction include lower back pain and stiffness, hip tightness and limited range of motion, sciatica due to nerve compression, and poor posture and pelvic imbalance.

Because the psoas lies so deep within the body, traditional therapies such as stretching, massage, or yoga cannot effectively release it. Robotic muscle therapy cannot only release it but also lengthen it back to a normal state.

The Role of the Pectoral Muscles

The pectoral muscles, located across the chest, connect the shoulder to the rib cage. These muscles are also affected by long hours of sitting. As shoulders round forward throughout the day, the pectorals gradually tighten and shorten. This posture not only pulls the shoulders forward but can also cause neck restriction and headaches.

Tight pectoral muscles can contribute to neck and upper back pain, forward head posture that strains the spine, reduced lung capacity and shallow breathing, and shoulder dysfunction, as well as an increased risk of injury.

Like the psoas, the pectorals cannot fully release with stretching alone. While manual therapy can sometimes help, the results are inconsistent or temporary. Robotic therapy can release these muscles, allowing a full range of motion to the shoulders and neck.

Treating the Root Cause of Pain, Not Just the Symptoms

Robotic muscle therapy allows us to precisely identify dysfunction in these deeper structural muscles and treat them with consistent, targeted treatment. Using gentle pressure and vibration in repetitive intervals, muscles are deeply relaxed, and contraction is released. By restoring proper muscle function and improving movement patterns, we reduce strain on surrounding joints and tissues.

With over 25 different placements, we treat a wide range of muscles and conditions. Once foundational muscles are addressed, smaller muscles contributing to pain are also released, leading to whole-body balance.

Our philosophy is simple: rather than simply managing pain, we focus on correcting imbalances to help the body move as it was designed to move.

In addition to treating chronic conditions, robotic muscle therapy can also play a key role in injury prevention and performance optimization. By restoring proper muscle balance and improving alignment, clients often experience increased strength, flexibility, and overall efficiency in their daily movements. This makes the therapy beneficial not only for those in pain, but also for individuals looking to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle.

As awareness of this advanced treatment continues to grow, more people are discovering that lasting relief does not have to come from invasive procedures or long-term medication use. With a focus on precision, consistency, and whole-body function, robotic therapy represents a modern approach to care—one that empowers clients to take control of their health and move forward with confidence.

Real Results for Naples Residents

With over 3,000 clinical visits and over 750 clients treated, we have seen firsthand how meaningful robotic therapy can be. One Naples resident had been living with chronic back and leg pain from a bilateral hamstring injury for five years. After a course of treatment, she is pain-free and back to enjoying an active lifestyle. Her husband told us that we had truly given her “her life back.” Stories like this are the reason we do what we do.

Regenerative Dentistry: Can Your Mouth Heal Itself?

Scroll through social media, and you’ll see bold claims about dental health: “Reverse cavities naturally.” “Regrow enamel.” “Heal your teeth.”

It sounds almost too good to be true—and in many ways, it is. The idea that a fully formed cavity can simply disappear overnight isn’t realistic. But the conversation around regenerative dentistry does highlight something important: our teeth and gums are part of a living system, deeply connected to the rest of the body.

For dentists who practice biological or integrtive dentistry, the question isn’t just “How do we fix the tooth?”It’swhy the problem occurred in the first place. And once we understand that, can the body be supported in repairing itself?

Looking Beyond the Tooth

Traditional dentistry often focuses on the immediate problem: a cavity is drilled and filled, gum disease is treated, or a damaged tooth is restored. These treatments are essential and often necessary.

But regenerative dentistry asks a broader question: what conditions allowed the problem to develop?

Tooth decay, for example, rarely has a single cause. Instead, it is usually the result of several interacting factors. Nutrition is one of the most important. Vitamins and minerals—especially calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin D—play a crucial role in maintaining strong enamel and bone. Vitamin D, in particular, helps the body absorb minerals that support teeth and skeletal health. If vitamin D levels are low, the body may struggle to properly use the minerals that protect teeth.

Digestion also plays a role. Even if a person consumes a healthy diet, the body must still absorb those nutrients efficiently. Problems within the digestive system—such as microbial imbalance in the gut, often calleddysbiosis—can interfere with the body’s ability to process and utilize essential minerals. The result may be subtle at first, but over time it can affect the resilience of teeth and gums.

The Mouth–Body Connection

Another surprising factor influencing dental health is how we breathe. People who primarily breathe through their mouths often experience a drier oral environment. Saliva plays an important protective role in the mouth—it helps neutralize acids, wash away food particles, and support a balanced microbial environment.

When mouth breathing reduces saliva flow, the mouth’s pH can shift toward acidity. This creates conditions where certain bacteria associated with cavities thrive. This is why some dentists now usesalivary testingto better understand the oral environment. Saliva can reveal information about bacterial balance, acidity levels, and other factors that influence dental health.

In other words, brushing and flossing are essential— but they are only part of a much larger picture.

Teeth Are Living Structures

Most people think of teeth as lifeless, almost like small stones embedded in the jaw. In reality, a tooth is a living biological structure. Inside each tooth is a soft tissue known as the pulp, which contains blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissue. Tiny microscopic channels within the tooth, called dentinal tubules, connect the tooth’s outer structures to its inner core. Because of this internal system, teeth can respond to their environment.

In the earliest stages of decay, areas of demineralization—where minerals have been lost from the enamel—can sometimes recover through a process called remineralization. When the oral environment is favorable and the body has access to the right nutrients, minerals may be redeposited into weakened areas of enamel.

Some emerging research even suggests that teeth may have their own protective mechanisms. Fluid movement within microscopic tubules can createhydrostatic pressure that pushes outward from the inside of the tooth. This process may help push toxins and bacteria away from the tooth’s inner structures.

While this doesn’t mean advanced cavities will simply heal themselves, it does suggest that teeth are far more dynamic than previously believed.

The Healing Potential of Gum Tissue

The gums, or gingiva, are among the most resilient tissues in the human body. When the sources of irritation—such as bacterial plaque, inflammation, or microbial imbalance—are removed, gum tissue often responds quickly. Reduce inflammation and restore healthy conditions, and the gums can frequently repair themselves.

This is why modern approaches to periodontal health focus not only on cleaning infected areas but also on addressing the biological environment that allows disease to persist. When the body’s immune system and microbial balance are supported, healing becomes far more likely.

The Hidden Foundation:

Jawbone Health

Beneath the teeth and gums lies the jawbone, the structural foundation that holds everything in place. Until recently, much of the jawbone’s internal structure was difficult to evaluate using traditional dental X-rays. Today, advanced imaging technology—particularlythree-dimensional cone beam CT scans—allows dentists to examine bone structures with far greater detail.

These scans can reveal areas of abnormal bone density. Some regions may appear hypodense, meaning the bone is less dense than expected. Others may appearhyperdense, which can indicate altered or compromised bone structure.

These changes are often invisible on standard two-dimensional X-rays. With more detailed imaging, dentists can identify areas that may benefit from regenerative approaches aimed at supporting bone repair.

Supporting the Body’s Repair Systems

One technique used in regenerative procedures involves materials derived from the patient’s own blood. These concentrates—often rich in platelets and natural growth factors—contain signaling molecules that help stimulate healing.

When applied to surgical or damaged areas, these biologically active substances can help support

the body’s natural repair processes. The goal is not to force healing but to enhance the body’s own regenerative abilities. It’s an approach rooted in a simple idea: the body already knows how to heal—it sometimes just needs the right conditions.

A Body Under Pressure

Modern life, however, can challenge those healing processes. Our bodies are exposed to environmental chemicals, processed foods, and stressors that previous generations rarely encountered. The body’s detoxification systems—often described as its natural “filters”—work constantly to process these exposures.

When those systems are overwhelmed, inflammation and imbalance can occur throughout the body. The mouth, which is closely connected to the immune system and digestive system, may reflect those changes. In this way, dental health can sometimes serve as an early signal of broader health issues.

The Future of Regenerative Dentistry

Regenerative dentistry is still evolving, but its influence is growing. Advances in imaging, biomaterials, and biological therapies are expanding what dentists can see—and what they can help the body repair.

Researchers are exploring technologies that could one day encourage the regeneration of dentin, enamel-like materials, and even entire tooth structures. Stem-cell research and bioengineered tissues are also being studied as potential tools for the future of oral health.

While many of these developments are still in early stages, they reflect a larger shift in dentistry. The focus is gradually shifting from simply replacing damaged tissues to helping the body restore them whenever possible. Teeth, gums, and bone are not just mechanical parts of the body. They are living tissues influenced by nutrition, breathing, metabolism, and the complex ecosystems of bacteria that live within us.

Understanding that connection may be one of the most important steps toward better dental health. Because the future of dentistry may not be about fighting the body’s limitations—it may be about working with the body’s remarkable capacity to heal.

the oral environment is favorable and the body has access to the right nutrients, minerals may be redeposited into weakened areas of enamel.”

“When we feel truly seen and spiritually supported, something inside us begins to open. And from that place, healing becomes possible.”
—Agnes Daddona, MA, Intuitive Counseling

Beyond Psychic Readings: Heal, Transform, and Realign Your Life

Many people first come to me because they are looking for answers. They may be searching for clarity about a relationship, comfort after a loss, reassurance during a difficult transition, or guidance when life feels uncertain. Sometimes they have very specific questions. Sometimes they simply know that something feels heavy, confusing, or out of alignment, and they want support in finding their way forward.

That first step of reaching out is often deeply meaningful. It takes courage to ask for help. It takes honesty to admit when your heart is tired, when your spirit is carrying too much, or when you are ready for something to shift. And that is why I never see a session as just a reading. I see it as a sacred opportunity to meet someone exactly where they are and help them reconnect with clarity, healing, and the deeper truth of who they are.

Beneath the Surface

Yes, psychic insight can bring answers. It can offer confirmation, perspective, and guidance. But in my work, the experience often becomes something much more personal and transformative than that.

So often, the questions we ask on the surface are connected to something deeper beneath the surface. A person may come wanting to know whether a relationship will work out, but beneath that question may be a longing to understand why the same emotional pattern keeps returning. Someone may ask about their career, but beneath that may

lie fear, self-doubt, or a quiet inner knowing that they are being called in a new direction. Someone may seek comfort after loss, and what unfolds is not only reassurance from spirit, but also a healing sense of connection, peace, and love.

That is why I believe this work is not only about prediction. It is about understanding. It is about healing. It is about helping people feel seen, supported, and gently guided back toward themselves.

In my sessions, I connect with your energy and invite in the highest spiritual support available for your journey. I work with angels, spirit guides, and loved ones in spirit, always with the intention of serving your highest good. What comes through may be intuitive insight, emotional validation, spiritual guidance, or messages that bring comfort and deeper awareness. Often, the experience helps illuminate not just what is happening, but why it may be happening, and what your soul is ready to learn, release, or remember.

For many people, that alone can be incredibly healing.

There is something powerful about being in a space where you do not need to explain everything perfectly. A space where what you have been carrying can be felt and understood with compassion. A space where you can exhale, soften, and allow yourself to receive.

Sometimes clients come in feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected. By the end of the session, they often feel lighter. Not because every problem has

magically disappeared, but because they are no longer holding it alone in the same way. They leave with a clearer understanding of what they are moving through, a stronger connection to their inner wisdom, and a renewed sense of being supported.

That is where transformation begins.

Transformation, Clarity, and Healing

Healing does not always happen in loud or dramatic ways. Sometimes it begins with a simple moment of truth. Sometimes it is the release of an old fear. Sometimes it is the comfort of hearing what your heart has needed for a long time. Sometimes it is finally recognizing that you are not broken, lost, or abandoned—you are in a season of growth, and guidance is available to help you through it.

Realignment, to me, is about returning to the truth of who you are beneath fear, grief, confusion, and emotional weight. It is about reconnecting with your soul, your strength, your intuition, and your capacity to move forward with more peace. It is not about becoming someone different. It is about remembering yourself more fully.

That is why people may come for a reading, but often leave with something much deeper: comfort, insight, emotional healing, and a greater sense of trust in themselves and in the path unfolding before them.

My hope is always that each person leaves feeling more supported than when they arrived. More connected. More hopeful. More at peace. Because when we feel truly seen and spiritually supported, something inside us begins to open. And from that place, healing becomes possible. Clarity becomes possible. Transformation becomes possible.

If you have been feeling called to seek guidance, know that you are welcome. A session can help bring clarity to the questions weighing on your heart. Sometimes the most important thing is simply allowing yourself to take the first step.

The Benefits of Full Body LED Light Therapy

“By reducing inflammation and supporting cellular health, light therapy may help regulate circadian rhythms and promote relaxation.”
—Massage Envy Naples

Full body LED light therapy—also known as photobiomodulation or red light therapy—is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to support healing, reduce inflammation, and enhance overall wellness. Once limited to clinical settings, this technology is now widely available in wellness centers, gyms, and even at home. As research continues to grow, so does interest in the wide-ranging benefits of full-body LED light therapy.

What Is Full Body LED Light Therapy?

LED (light-emitting diode) therapy uses low-level red and near-infrared wavelengths of light to penetrate the skin and stimulate cellular activity. Unlike UV light, which can damage the skin, red and near-infrared light are considered safe and do not cause burns when used appropriately. Full-body systems typically consist of large panels or light beds that allow users to expose most or all of their bodies at once, maximizing systemic effects rather than targeting a single area.

1. Enhanced Cellular Energy Production

One of the primary mechanisms behind LED light therapy is its effect on mitochondria—the “power plants” of our cells. Red and near-infrared light

stimulate the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the molecule responsible for cellular energy. Higher ATP production supports faster cell repair, improved tissue regeneration, and enhanced overall cellular function. This boost in cellular energy is the foundation for many of the therapy’s reported benefits.

2. Reduced Inflammation and Pain Relief

Inflammation is a key factor in many chronic conditions, including joint pain, muscle soreness, and autoimmune disorders. Full body LED light therapy has been shown to reduce inflammatory markers, improve circulation, and accelerate recovery from injury. Athletes frequently use full-body light therapy to reduce muscle soreness after intense workouts and speed up recovery. Individuals with arthritis or chronic pain conditions may also experience decreased stiffness and improved mobility. By reducing systemic inflammation and improving cellular efficiency, photobiomodulation may help the body respond more effectively to stressors and environmental challenges. Some studies suggest that improved mitochondrial function and circulation can enhance the body’s natural defense

mechanisms, although more research is needed to fully understand these effects.

3. Improved Skin Health

Red light therapy is widely known for its cosmetic benefits. By stimulating collagen and elastin production, it can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin tone and texture, minimize acne and acne scarring, and support wound healing. Full-body exposure enables comprehensive skin rejuvenation, making it popular in anti-aging and aesthetic wellness programs.

4. Faster Muscle Recovery and Performance Support

Because full-body LED light therapy enhances circulation and ATP production, it supports muscle repair at a deeper level. Many professional athletes and fitness enthusiasts use it to shorten recovery time between workouts, reduce delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS), and enhance endurance and performance. When muscles recover more efficiently, overall performance and training consistency can improve.

5. Enhanced Mood and Sleep Quality

Emerging research suggests that exposure to red and near-infrared light may positively influence mood and sleep patterns. By reducing inflammation and supporting cellular health, light therapy may help regulate circadian rhythms and promote relaxation. Some users report improved sleep quality, reduced stress levels, and enhanced mental clarity. While more large-scale studies are needed, early findings are promising.

6. Support for Circulation and Healing

Full body LED light therapy promotes vasodilation—the widening of blood vessels—which enhances blood flow and oxygen delivery throughout the body. Improved circulation supports faster wound healing, reduced swelling, and better nutrient delivery to tissues. This systemic effect is one of the advantages of full-body treatment over smaller, localized devices.

Safety and Considerations

LED light therapy is generally considered safe when used as directed. It is noninvasive, painless, and requires no downtime. However, individuals with certain medical conditions, those taking light-sensitive medications, or those who are pregnant should consult a healthcare provider before beginning treatment.

Consistency is key. Most protocols recommend multiple sessions per week over several weeks to achieve noticeable results.

Where to Get Full Body LED Therapy in Southwest Florida

Full body LED light therapy offers a range of potential benefits—from enhanced cellular energy and reduced inflammation to improved skin health, faster muscle recovery, and better overall wellness. While ongoing research explores its full capabilities, current evidence and user experiences suggest it is a promising, low-risk option for those seeking a noninvasive way to support whole-body health.

In addition to physical benefits, many users appreciate the convenience and relaxing nature of full-body LED sessions. Treatments are typically quick and require no recovery time, making them easy to incorporate into busy schedules. The gentle warmth and calming environment of LED beds can also provide a meditative experience, encouraging consistency and long-term use. As accessibility continues to expand and technology advances, full-body LED light therapy is likely to become an increasingly common tool in both personal wellness routines and professional healthcare settings.

LED light therapy is offered in a few niche med spas and wellness centers around Southwest Florida, including select locations at Massage Envy. Prices can range from $30–$85 per treatment at most facilities, which can add up quickly when you go twice per week; however, Massage Envy offers an unlimited-use package for $100 per month, making this great service affordable for almost anyone. Massage Envy uses the LightStim Full Body LED bed, which is the only full-body LED bed cleared by the FDA for treatment of chronic pain and inflammation.

As with any wellness treatment, results may vary, but for many individuals, full-body LED light therapy has become a valuable addition to their health and recovery routine.

Ozone Therapy

Ozone Therapy is highly e ective for chronic conditions by improving blood circulation and oxygen delivery:

• Energy Rejuvenation

• Reducing In ammation

• Pain Management

• Boosting Immune Support

Why The DripBar is di erent than other IV Infusion Clinics:

Drip Specialists are RNs, and backed by a Medical Director. Treatments free of chemical and microbial contaminants. Compounding is done on-site and in a sterile environment to prevent clients from contamination.

IV Drip Therapies for Neuropathy and Alzheimer’s Disease

AsIV nutrient therapies are being explored as complementary approaches for chronic neurological conditions such as neuropathy and Alzheimer’s disease, some clinicians are using targeted IV infusions to support cellular metabolism, reduce oxidative stress, and potentially improve neurological function. When administered carefully in clinical settings, alpha-lipoic acid (ALA), glutathione, and medical ozone therapy are used to address multiple mechanisms that underlie nerve degeneration and neuroinflammation.

Neuropathy and Alzheimer’s Disease

Neuropathy refers to damage or dysfunction of peripheral nerves, often leading to symptoms such as burning pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness— typically in the hands and feet. Diabetes is the most common cause, but neuropathy may also result from toxins, autoimmune conditions, nutritional deficiencies, or chronic inflammation.

Alzheimer’s disease, a very common form of dementia, involves progressive loss of memory, cognition, and functional ability. Although modern medicine has developed medications that may slow symptom progression, many researchers continue investigating metabolic and antioxidant therapies that could help support brain health. IV nutrient therapy may be proposed as a supportive strategy to address some of these underlying biological processes.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid: A Key Antioxidant for Nerve Health

Alpha-lipoic acid is a versatile antioxidant and metabolic coenzyme naturally present in the body. ALA also helps regenerate other antioxidants, amplifying the body’s defenses against

oxidative stress. It is essential for supporting mitochondrial energy production and protecting cells from oxidative stress. It acts as a coenzyme in key metabolic pathways and helps recycle antioxidants such as vitamins C and E. By working in both aqueous and lipid environments, ALA shields a wide range of tissues. Its presence is vital for maintaining cellular balance and resilience. ALA works in both aqueous and lipidic environments, helping support energy production within cells. This unique property has drawn attention to ALA as a potential therapy for nerve damage and neurodegenerative diseases. In Alzheimer’s disease research, alpha-lipoic acid is studied for its potential neuroprotective effects. Because ALA can cross the blood–brain barrier, it may help reduce oxidative stress in brain cells and support mitochondrial function—two processes believed to be impaired in Alzheimer’s pathology. Some studies suggest ALA may help stabilize cognitive decline.

Although the body produces some ALA, daily stress, intense activity, or environmental factors can increase the need for additional support. Supplementing with ALA may help maintain energy levels, promote antioxidant status, and promote recovery during periods of strain. Many people seek extra support when facing fatigue or increased demands. IV delivery of ALA allows higher concentrations to reach circulation without digestive limitations.

Glutathione:

The Body’s Master Antioxidant

Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant made from three amino acids and is primarily produced in the liver. It plays a central role in detoxification,

supports immune readiness, and helps protect neurological and tissue health. This compound also supports immune health and helps maintain cellular balance. By regulating redox systems, glutathione contributes to overall wellness and resilience.

Glutathione is vital for maintaining the body’s antioxidant defenses and neutralizing free radicals that can harm cells. Everyday factors like stress, aging, intense activity, or exposure to environmental toxins can lower glutathione levels over time. When this happens, the body’s ability to recover and defend itself may decrease. Supplementing glutathione can help restore balance and support overall wellness.

In neuropathy, glutathione’s antioxidant properties may help limit further nerve injury while supporting cellular repair mechanisms. In Alzheimer’s disease, researchers believe that maintaining healthy glutathione levels may help reduce oxidative stress that contributes to neuronal degeneration. IV therapy and intramuscular shots offer a direct way to receive glutathione, bypassing the digestive system for more predictable absorption than oral supplements. This method allows for targeted dosing and immediate availability in the bloodstream.

When combined with alpha-lipoic acid, glutathione may provide synergistic antioxidant effects, as ALA can help regenerate oxidized glutathione and maintain its active form.

Ozone Therapy and Inflammation

Ozone therapy is a clinically guided treatment that uses medical-grade ozone to support immune function and metabolic repair. It works by introducing controlled oxidative stress, activating the body’s natural antioxidant defenses, and supporting cellular energy. This approach can help you notice improvements in how you feel day to day. Ozone therapy is designed to complement your wellness routine, offering a safe and effective way to support your body’s natural repair mechanisms. It can be a valuable addition for people managing specific needs or seeking to optimize their daily routine, including people interested in supporting neurological repair and protecting nerve fibers through targeted wellness strategies.

Chronic inflammation plays a role in both neuropathy and Alzheimer’s disease. By potentially lowering inflammatory markers and improving circulation, ozone therapy may be used by some clinicians as part of a broader integrative treatment plan. The DRIPBaR Naples offers ozone therapy to help enhance your body’s natural repair and

immune functions. During each session, a small amount of your blood is gently mixed with ozone and then reinfused, helping to optimize oxygen delivery and stimulate antioxidant pathways. This process is designed to encourage detoxification and promote overall cellular health. This treatment supports oxygen delivery and antioxidant activation to promote overall wellness.

A Combined IV Approach

In some integrative medical practices, IV protocols combine alpha-lipoic acid, glutathione, and carefully controlled ozone therapy to address multiple aspects of neurological disease simultaneously.

By integrating therapies such as alpha-lipoic acid, glutathione, and ozone into IV protocols, patients may experience a more comprehensive approach to neurological wellness that targets multiple underlying factors at once. These therapies work synergistically to support cellular energy production, enhance antioxidant defenses, and promote healthier nerve function, which can contribute to improved overall vitality and cognitive clarity. Many individuals are drawn to this approach for its ability to deliver nutrients directly into the bloodstream, allowing for efficient absorption and immediate availability to the body’s cells. IV therapies using alpha-lipoic acid, glutathione, and medical ozone are being explored as supportive treatments for neuropathy and Alzheimer’s disease. By addressing oxidative stress, inflammation, and mitochondrial dysfunction—key contributors to neurological degeneration—these therapies aim to support nerve health and cellular resilience.

There Are Two Ways to Age— Most People Choose the Wrong One

"But if the longterm strategy is to wait for decline, manage symptoms, and react after the fact, then that model will continue to produce exactly those outcomes."
—Dr. Jake Berman, PT, DPT

Over the past 18 months, it’s been incredible to watch how healthcare is evolving right in front of us. What used to be a system almost entirely focused on reacting to problems is now beginning to shift toward something very different— a proactive, longevity-driven approach to health. Not long ago, many people would openly say they had no desire to live to 100. The assumption was that extended lifespan meant extended suffering—frailty, dependence, and a diminished quality of life. But today, that narrative is changing. We’re now seeing more and more individuals in their 80s, 90s, and even beyond staying active, independent, and engaged—traveling, exercising, and keeping up with their families in ways that were once considered unrealistic.

When I look at the individuals who are thriving— not just aging, but truly thriving—there’s one common thread that stands out above everything else: mindset. Mindset is the differentiator. At a recent longevity event, keynote speaker Joe Sweeney said something that stuck: “Once your regrets outweigh your goals—you’ve lost.” It’s a powerful statement, and it highlights something deeper than just physical health. It speaks to purpose.

This aligns closely with findings from the wellknown Blue Zones research, which identified that some of the longest-living populations in the world shared a common trait—they had a reason to get up each day. A role. A responsibility. A sense of purpose. Sometimes it was something as simple as tending a garden or contributing to their family in

a meaningful way. But that purpose drove consistency, movement, and engagement with life.

What’s becoming increasingly clear is that the tools to support this kind of lifestyle are improving at an incredible pace. Longevity and regenerative therapies are no longer fringe concepts or anecdotal experiments. They are grounded in real science, producing real outcomes for real people. Traditional medicine and insurance-based care are familiar, widely accepted, and still serve an important role—especially in acute care and emergency situations. But if the long-term strategy is to wait for decline, manage symptoms, and react after the fact, then that model will continue to produce exactly those outcomes.

On the other hand, if the goal is to maintain independence, optimize performance, and arrive at 80 feeling closer to 60—or even 40—then a different approach is required. That approach includes proactive care, longevity-focused strategies, and regenerative therapies designed to improve function rather than simply manage dysfunction. This is the “automobile.”It represents a faster, more efficient, and more forward-thinking path to health.

The challenge is that most people wait until a shift is fully validated before they embrace it. But history shows us that those who benefit the most are often the ones who recognize the shift early and act on it. So the question becomes: Will you continue with what’s familiar…or are you ready to move toward what’s next?

Dr. Jake Berman, PT, DPT, is a physical therapist and the owner of Berman Physical Therapy, where they focus on treating the actual problem causing your symptoms (pain) to help you avoid taking pain pills and dangerous surgeries. So, if you’re tired of feeling “old” and you are looking for another way to keep active and mobile, call Dr. Berman at 239.431.0232 to take advantage of a FREE 30-minute taster session!
