In 2010, Natacha Poggio submitted an application (on behalf of Design Global Change) for the Sappi Ideas that Matter grant to implement a gender equality campaign in schools in northern India. The Bringing girls into focus campaign raised awareness of women’s important roles in rural communities through the use of educational materials and it was created to benefit nonprofit Navjyoti India Foundation. Design Global Change’s proposal received $5,000 from Sappi Ideas that Matter.
