NOTE FROM THE MAYOR Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Citizens of Nassau Bay, Congratulations to Brian Johnson, newly elected to Council Position 1, and to Chase Waterwall and Sarah Horton on their reelection to Council Positions 3 and 5, respectively. The city looks forward to continuing its work alongside each member of City Council, as we build a bright future for our community! The City’s infrastructure projects are on schedule without any issues. To date, a total of 3,700 linear feet have been installed for the Nasa One 12-inch Water Line Improvement Project. The 2-million-dollar Water Line Distribution Project will be awarded in the June Council Meeting. The Street Rehabilitation Project will be awarded in the July Council meeting. City staff have been working with TXDOT representatives and all end caps on Nasa One have been painted and broken curbs replaced. I am very happy to announce that the city is working in partnership with Griffin Partners to develop the Nassau Bay Medical Life Science Building. The building would consist of 3 levels for a total of 67,343 square feet of space. The first process in development has been approved and we continue to work toward a positive outcome. The city continues to work on the development of Margaritaville to ensure an upscale boutique resort is best used for the property and will drive additional development to other areas of our city. Although the process is timely, we want to ensure all necessary steps are taken to we are doing best for our community!
