y y , also extremely pleased to announce more good news for our City Please welcome Estella’s Kitchen and Cantina, a TexMex sit-down restaurant and rooftop bar will be opening in Nassau Bay at the new commercial building at 1740 NASA RD One. For

those that do not know this address, it is the new building beside Five Guys that has been vacant for over 2 years. Estella’s will occupy fully one half of the entire strip center.

The City, through our Redevelopment Authority (RDA), James Caldwell, Owner of Estella’s Restaurant and Nassau Bay Citizen are partnering together to allow for an approximately $3 7million investment into the strip center to convert it into their restaurant The City/RDA is investing $330,000 to bring this restaurant into Nassau Bay. Construction is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026 James is a proud Army Veteran, a very experienced Restaurateur, and a resident of Nassau Bay Estella’s Kitchen and Cantina is a Tex-Mex restaurant and bar with the first rooftop bar in the city or the surrounding area. The concept is poised to become Nassau Bay’s newest culinary and cultural sit-down destination The restaurant is strategically located on NASA RD One near Space Center Houston and within walking distance of major employers, hotels, and residential areas

The largest Citizen input and requests for the City’s redevelopment efforts have been to bring a family sit-down Mexican restaurant into our City We have achieved that challenge with this partnership But also with this announcement, I am most pleased with our overall Redevelopment effort. Over the next 12 to 18 months, our City will have a renovated Margaritaville with at least 4 new popular restaurants in place of an old Hilton, a Schafer’s Coastal Seafood Restaurant where the vacant Luby’s sits, and now Estella’s Kitchen and Cantina. Together, these new investments will not only enhance the Nassau Bay experience, but will forever increase tax revenues for the City’s needs versus property taxes on our Residents.

Please come out and support the Caldwell Family, and remember these funds will be funded completely by the Redevelopment Authority, not Citizens' taxes. The 2026 New Year is shaping up to be an exciting year for Nassau Bay

The 4th Quarter 2025 Beautification Award was presented to Joe and Rachel Trainor on Silver Bank Court Rachel: “We bought our home at the end of 2016 – we were living in the heart of downtown across from the ballpark and didn’t even know Nassau Bay existed. Joe took a gamble on showing me a house outside of “The Loop”, not something I had thought we would entertain

Everyone was out walking, waving as we drove by - spirit of Nassau Bay had us hooked from Day 1! Joe joined NBVFD shortly after our move and is active in the neighborhood - I love when I hear from a neighbor that they saw him on a scene, that comfort of knowing the Nassau Bay small town feel I saw on our first drive in is still there AND we are a part of it

Our home has been the gathering place for all of our family and friends Celebrations, birthdays and holidays, as well as a place for our family to call temporarily home while they were recovering from rough hurricanes Our front yard beautification has been something we’ve enjoyed with everyone – even neighbors when we aren’t home will stop on the porch for a rest during their walk!

Thank You, RFR Volunteers! The Reindeer Fun Run was made possible by a long list of dedicated volunteers. There were too many to list here, so please visit NassauBayCANBE org to see who helped this year And, thank you, Stephanie Clawson for being the Official Starter this year and for the continuing support of Houston Methodist Hospital Clear Lake
