CANBE is proud to support our three Little Free Libraries in Nassau Bay Globally over 150,000 registered, free, miniature, often DIY, booksharing stations serve communities with reading access, and fostering neighborhood interaction Thanks to these three families:

Tamsin and Omar Abotteen have been managing the David Braun Park location since 2019. Located a few feet from the playground, it gets a lot of visits from kids and parents visiting the playground Omar says, “The children’s books are the ones that are super popular”, so he concentrates on keeping that genre stocked.

Brenda and Joe Martinez have managed the Prince William Lane LFL by their curb since 2022. Their visitors are different so, “a combination of both children’s and adult books” are needed

Liz Franzen and Katherine Tomasi established the newest LFL at Swan Lagoon Park in memory of her sister Kim in 2025 Kids and adult books are popular at their library. If you would like to donate books to one of the LFLs, contact Omar: 281-8988799, Brenda: 406595-6305, or Liz: 281-850-3603 Visit NassauBayCANBE.org for more info on LFLs and other CANBE projects and activities
