BE MOVED. BE AMAZED. BE. HERE.
2026/27 SEASON
Leonard Slatkin, Music Director

WELCOME
Welcome to the new season of your Nashville Symphony. I am thrilled to be leading the orchestra as we continue the musical adventures that help define this city and its people. With the widest possible range of programming, we are proud to invite you to be part of this marvelous experience and a year of celebrations—the 80th anniversary of the Nashville Symphony, 20th anniversary of the opening of Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and the 250th birthday of our nation.
Whether you enjoy the classics, pops, films, or family concerts, or educational events, the Nashville Symphony has something for all. And I hope you will take advantage of the variety we offer and perhaps attend a concert that is slightly off your musical radar. As Duke Ellington said, “There are only two kinds of music, good music and the other kind!” We like to think that we are the purveyors of the former and hope that you will join us as often as possible during our 2026/27 season.
