Goddard's Internal Research and Development, IRAD, program funds the technologies enabling tomorrow’s NASA missions. Fiscal 2021 saw a gradual re-opening of laboratory space on Goddard’s campuses, freeing many Internal Research and Development investigators to resume projects at somewhere closer to full capacity.
