Shine On, Nantucket!

PRESENTED BY

Letter from the Chamber

Welcome to the 51st Stroll Weekend, “Shine On, Nantucket!” Take in some world class shopping and dining, walk the serene beaches and conservation lands, or relax at one of our many hotels or inns, steeped in coastal New England charm. Nantucket is the idyllic backdrop for your holiday weekend.

Stroll is the perfect time to reconnect with friends and family too, and reflect on the past year. Our island has faced a variety of challenges in the past 12 months. With each challenge however, community spirit and the unwritten “islander pledge” to help our neighbors shines brightly. We invite you to share the magic of Nantucket, and help us carry on the Stroll traditions. While you are here, join us in keeping Nantucket special and welcoming for all! While navigating the marketplace, Santa’s arrival to the docks, and the festivities of Main Street, be mindful of your actions, be kind to our volunteers and public safety officials, recycle your trash, and be patient during this busy weekend. We remind you that open containers are prohibited in public, and use a cab, rideshare, or hop a fare-free NRTA bus and leave the driving to the pros. On behalf of the entrepreneurs who make up our diverse business community, the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce warmly welcomes you to the 51st Annual Stroll Weekend!

Santa’s Arrival

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6, 11:45 AM - 2:30 PM

11:45 AM -12:00 PM — TOWN CRIER ANNOUNCES SANTA’S ARRIVAL

Gather at the Main Street Stage to help our Town Crier ring in this iconic moment!

12:00-2:30 PM — SANTA CLAUS COMES TO TOWN!

Santa will arrive at Straight Wharf via the United States Coast Guard! Prioritizing public safety, space on the wooden portion of the pier will be limited. Please follow the instructions of our volunteers and public safety officials to keep Santa’s arrival safe for all! Santa’s Parade will begin on Straight Wharf, and travel up Main St to the Pacific National Bank led by our own local drum line. Our harbor is a busy area, Santa will try to arrive by 12:15 but we appreciate your patience as the USCG navigates our working waterfront!

1:00-2:30 PM — SANTA MEET N GREET

Following the parade, Santa will be at the Pacific National Bank on Main St, where you can meet and take photos! Don’t forget your letters to the North Pole, which can be left in Santa’s Mailbox. The talking tree and other performances will keep you entertained while you wait!

PURCHASE WITH PURPOSE

Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce | Island-wide

This holiday season, shop local and make every purchase count! Purchase with Purpose is a week-long shopping initiative designed to celebrate the spirit of giving and support. Nantucket’s small businesses, all while helping local nonprofits in need. From November 26th through December 7th, every time you shop at a participating Nantucket Chamber member business, you’ll earn a vote for one of several deserving nonprofit organizations. The more purchases you make, the more votes you cast! At the end of the initiative, the nonprofit with the most votes will receive a generous donation, courtesy of our friends at the Nantucket Rotary Club. Snap a photo of your receipts for proof of purchase, you will need them to cast your vote! It’s free, fun, and full of heart! Just shop, scan, and give back. By choosing local merchants instead of big-box stores, you’re fueling our island economy, uplifting neighbors, and spreading holiday cheer where it matters most.
