ACC Erongo branch reports increase of cases registered Sharlien Tjambari
The Anti-Corruption Commission's Erongo office noted an increase of thirteen corruption cases registered since last year. Since its inception in 2012, the office had 315 registered cases last year, 74 Active and 10 Prosecutor General's Decision Pending Cases. Last week during ACC's 9th Annual Media Briefing, the office revealed the cases now stand at 328 of which 82 are active cases and 11 are pending PG Decision. The Erongo ACC office has three investigating officers, plus one vacant position for an investigating officer and one Police Officer seconded, assisting in various duties. The office has registered 328 cases on the Case Management System since 2012.
Currently the office has 82 active cases (matters not finalised, either in court, PG further instructions and/or ongoing investigations). Eleven cases from the Erongo Office are pending Prosecutor General's Decision, one case was returned last week to arraign (summons to be issued). Two cases

At a fundraising gala dinner held by De Duine Secondary School in Narraville Walvis Bay on Saturday, 3 June, an amount of well over half million Namibian dollars (N$500 000) was raised for the completion of the boundary wall and the construction of a state-of-the-art sports fields.
