Property Damages From External Factors, What You Need To Know

Spot a leak/damage inside your property and aren’t sure where it’s coming from?

Here’s how you can get this addressed with the help of Dubai Holding Community Management’s intervention.

As per RERA’s Circular 12 of 2023

THE FIRST STEP

Property owners can submit their request via the Mollak Services Gateway to initiate the process.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN?

Upon notifying DHCM, a neutral RERAapproved inspection company will assess the damage. An inspection report will identify the cause, responsible party, suggested solutions and estimated repair costs.

THE ROOT LIES AT HOME

Upon inspection, if the property owner is responsible for repairs, costs must be borne by the owner and DHCM may be authorised to carry out repairs.

WHO’S TO BLAME?

Property owner will be notified about access for inspection. If denied, RERA may issue a warning and further escalate to the Rental Disputes Settlement Centre. In this case, the owner must cover all repair costs.
