Waste to Worth: Powering a circular future
Step Into the Spotlight: We’re looking for you
The past few months have brought its share of change, both within our community and beyond it. Through it all, what has kept our work meaningful is the steady spirit of the people who live here, the familiar faces and the small daily exchanges that quietly hold our neighbourhood together. That sense of belonging is what gives this place its character and it is what we work to protect every day.
The Flame Tree season, which has just passed, offered its own quiet tribute to that idea. Those brief flashes of orange hold a particular place in the UAE's annual rhythm, marking a turn in the season with grace and a welcome pause before the warmer months take hold.
As the UAE marks the Year of Family, our focus has remained firmly on the home you have built here. From thoughtful upgrades across the community to the quieter, behind-the-scenes work that keeps things running well, our efforts continue to centre around you. A closer look at these improvements follows in the pages ahead and as your Community Management team, we remain close at hand for anything you may need along the way.
As summer settles in, we hope it brings rest, warmth and time with the people who matter most. Looking after our surroundings is a shared effort and together we can ensure this community continues to feel like a place we are proud to call home.

With consistent care, innovative solutions and a residentsfirst approach, your community continues to grow stronger. Here’s a look at the changes and improvements in your neighbourhood during these past three months.
A vibrant landscape is blooming across the community. Recent landscaping enhancements feature upgraded greenery and various flowering plants that add colour and life to shared spaces. These improvements add a touch of grandeur to the community’s outdoor areas while supporting our long-term sustainability goals.

The community farm has grown into a well-loved and deeply appreciated shared space.
With active involvement from residents, a range of vegetables, herbs and flowering plants are being cultivated and maintained.
The space plays a key role in nurturing healthier lifestyles, supporting sustainable practices and bringing the community closer together.

From now on, no important update will pass you by unnoticed.
LED information screens have been installed on the ground floor of all buildings. These digital displays share official announcements, safety advisories and key community updates in a clear and accessible format. A quick glance is all it takes to stay connected with everything happening around you.
The main lobbies have been given a subtle lift with the addition of cove lighting along the ceilings.
The new design brings a warmer, more welcoming atmosphere to the shared spaces, gently enhancing the look and feel of every arrival.

Pool 2 at Al Thamam has reopened following a complete refresh.
The upgrade includes new underwater tiling, soft under-pool LED lighting, an enhanced outdoor shower area, refreshed landscaping, and an improved dosing system, adding up to a cleaner, safer and more enjoyable poolside experience.
Renovation works for the remaining three pools will follow in upcoming phases.
Here’s yet another exciting way to stay active.
Our new cricket pitch is now ready, offering residents a dedicated space to play and unwind. Whether it’s a quick game or a weekend match, the space encourages a more active lifestyle and brings neighbours together. It’s a lively addition that strengthens community interaction and overall personal well-being.

It started with residents
During Ramadan, households across Remraam separated their food waste using dedicated collection bags provided as part of the pilot.
Imdaad and Idama kept the wheels turning Food waste was collected directly from residents' doorsteps twice a day, making participation easy and convenient.
Then ReFarm worked its magic
The collected food waste was then processed by ReFarm, where black soldier fly larvae fed on the food scraps and helped transform them into nutrient-rich compost.
Finally, it came full circle
The compost found a new home in Remraam's ecofarm, enriching the soil and helping plants thrive, proving that food waste can become a valuable resource when given a second chance.
The Impact Achieved
Food Waste Diverted 804 kg
Collections 1,3564 kg
Data from March 2026
This initiative demonstrates how small, consistent actions at the household level can create a meaningful environmental impact, reducing landfill dependence and supporting a circular economy.

Dubai Holding Community Management is advancing circular economy practices through two sustainability initiatives that convert waste into usable environmental value.
With ReFarm Global Investments, DHCM launched Dubai’s first 'Sea-to-Soil' initiative within community management. Signed by Francis Giani, CEO of DHCM, and Oliver Christof, CEO of ReFarm Global Investments, the MoU supports solutions that transform algae and organic waste into regenerative inputs. Pilot trials in Palm Jumeirah converted 120 kg of algae waste into 31 kg of nutrient rich Re-Soil compost, now used for landscaping and soil enhancement.
In partnership with Hyvgeo, DHCM has also initiated a green waste upcycling pilot, collecting landscape waste monthly and converting it into biochar to improve soil condition and water retention, supporting more efficient irrigation and an estimated water reduction of up to 30%.

In 2025, 14 tonnes of green waste from our managed communities were diverted from landfill through a local circular partnership with Palmade. Landscaping byproducts, primarily date palm leaves, were transformed into biodegradable cutlery, now used across select Jumeirah brands, supporting responsible sourcing and reducing single-use plastics.

Dubai Holding Community Management (DHCM) has launched its first dedicated staff welfare and rest area in Jumeirah Village Triangle under Project Raha, named after the Arabic word for comfort and wellbeing.
The facility has been created for frontline teams working across facilities management, housekeeping, landscaping and security, providing a clean and air-conditioned space where they can rest and recharge during their shifts, especially in the summer months.
This initiative reflects DHCM’s ongoing commitment to caring for the people who support the daily upkeep of our communities and ensure they remain safe, clean and well-maintained for all residents.
As the first of its kind, Project Raha also sets the foundation for similar facilities across other communities in the future, further strengthening the overall community experience.
