FROM THE COMMUNITY DESK It’s been a season of upgrades across Badrah and Veneto. We’ve replaced all common-area lighting with energyefficient LED fixtures, cutting power use while improving illumination and supporting our sustainability goals. Road safety has been enhanced with refreshed markings and updated signage, ensuring clearer visibility and compliance with safety standards. In Veneto, major landscaping works have transformed the community with a brand-new family park, while 6,000 sqm of interlock replacements have created safer, smoother, and more attractive walkways and driveways. Together, these improvements make our communities brighter, safer and more welcoming than ever.

ECO WINS Food Scraps To Helpful Hacks Sustainability starts at home and the choices we make every day can add up to a huge difference for our planet. Here are some simple, creative ways to repurpose your food scraps at home so they stay out of the bin and are put to better use.
Leftover Orange Peels?
Banana peels to supercharged fertilizer.
These are not just scraps, once dried and powdered, they are your new all-natural dyes for painting, fabric or even adding a colourful twist to your food.
Chop and bury them in your plants or blend with water. Your garden is going to have a spa day with the ‘aunaturel’ nutrients.
Don’t toss those watermelon rinds just yet. Chop them up, mix with water and voilà! A nutrient-packed juice is ready to give your garden soil a tasty boost.
Morning Brew Fun Fact Did you know that one cup of coffee creates about 0.45 kg of CO₂? Close to the footprint you’d leave if you were driving your car for 2kms. Sipping from a carton cup? That carbon adds up even more. Easy swaps can help shrink your footprint: Bring your own reusable cup
Choose organic or local beans
Ditch single-use sugar packets and creamers
Swap plastic stirrers for wooden or metal spoons

HOME & HEART One of the joys of community living is finding friendships right outside your doorstep. This feature celebrates neighbours who become companions, cheerleaders, and even extended family, making our communities feel like home.
This month, we share the story of how a walk through the community blossomed into a beautiful bond between two families, reminding us that the best part of home is often the friends next door. When we moved to this community a year ago, I met Mamta outside her home and a friendly chat quickly turned into a tour of her house and backyard. We soon discovered many coincidences. Our children went to the same school and both our mothers lived with us. Naturally, the kids became friends and so did our moms. What began as a neighbourly hello has grown into a bond that feels like family. We carpool, always check in on each other and whenever one of us cooks something special, a portion always finds its way to the other’s home. Moving into a new community can feel overwhelming, but connections like these make it feel like home. In the words of Pooja Agarwal, Murooj Al Furjan

Hot Coals, Cool Vibes
With the weather getting better, it’s the perfect time to enjoy a BBQ with family and friends. Ensure everyone has a safe and pleasant experience and keep these guidelines in mind.
DO'S Empty standing water from pots and trays regularly. Keep drains and gutters clean and covered. Use mosquito nets, screens or UV insect traps in the rooms.
DON'TS Don’t leave open containers of water or stagnant water in bird baths. Trim overgrown plants and gardens to reduce hiding places.
LOCATION
FIRE SAFETY
Use designated community barbecue areas and grills only. Avoid grilling too close to buildings, trees or dry grass to prevent fire hazards.
Keep a fire extinguisher, bucket of water or sand close by in case of emergencies. Make sure the grill is completely cooled down before leaving.
SUPERVISION
CLEANLINESS
Never leave the grill unattended. Always have someone responsible nearby while the barbecue is in use.
Dispose of charcoal, ashes and trash in proper containers. Clean up promptly after your grill to maintain a pleasant environment for all.
Fight The Bite As the weather cools off, the mosquitoes RSVP themselves to your home like uninvited party crashers. The good news? Here are some effective ways to keep them far away from your space. Report heavy mosquito infestations to the community management team immediately. Call us at: 800 DUBAI CM or email us at: support@dubaiholdingcm.ae

FROM THE REGULATOR’S DESK Property Damages From External Factors, What You Need To Know Spot a leak/damage inside your home and aren’t sure where it’s coming from? Here’s how you can get this addressed with the help of Dubai Holding Community Management’s intervention. As per RERA’s Circular 12 of 2023
THE FIRST STEP
THE ROOT LIES AT HOME
Homeowners can submit their request via the Mollak Services Gateway to initiate the process.
Upon inspection, if the homeowner is responsible for repairs, costs must be borne by the owner and DHCM may be authorised to carry out repairs.
HOW DID IT HAPPEN?
WHO’S TO BLAME?
Upon notifying DHCM, a neutral RERAapproved inspection company will assess the damage. An inspection report will identify the cause, responsible party, suggested solutions and estimated repair costs.
Homeowner will be notified about access for inspection. If denied, RERA may issue a warning and further escalate to the Rental Disputes Settlement Centre. In this case, the homeowner must cover all repair costs.
