We’re here to help YOU shine. As a Chamber Member, you have access to powerful promotional tools through our high-visibility platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, newsletters, and more. Here’s how to make the most of it:

WHAT YOU GET (BASED ON MEMBERSHIP TIER)

FEED POST = Dedicated post on @VisitMV or @MVChamber highlighting your business, event, or offering.

STORY SHARE = Repost of your tagged content if appropriate (no guarantees, but we try!).

COLLABORATOR POST = Tag us as a collaborator and we’ll review. Limited to 1x per week to avoid feed repetition.

HOW TO REQUEST A POST

All members must initiate their post requests. To schedule your included or paid post:

1. Email or Contact Us: At least 2 weeks in advance.

2. Send Content: Text, photos, links due 1 week before the scheduled post.

3. Complete the Intake Form (provided upon request or at onboarding) if applicable at Silver, Gold, Platinum or Champion level Late submissions may not be accepted.

IMAGE SIZING GUIDELINES

To ensure your content looks its best across platforms, please follow these sizing standards:

• Instagram Feed Post: 1080 x 1080 pixels (square) or 1080 x 1350 pixels (portrait)

• Facebook Feed Post: 1200 x 630 pixels (landscape)

• Instagram/Facebook Story: 1080 x 1920 pixels (vertical)

• File Types Accepted: JPG or PNG

• Max File Size: 20MB

PRO TIP: Use bright, clear, high-resolution images with minimal text overlay.

VIDEO SIZING GUIDELINES

To make sure your videos look great across platforms, follow these standards:

• Instagram Feed Video: 1080 x 1080 (square) or 1080 x 1350 (portrait)

• Facebook Feed Video: 1280 x 720 (landscape recommended)

• Instagram/Facebook Story or Reel: 1080 x 1920 (vertical)

• YouTube: 1920 x 1080 (landscape)

• File Types Accepted: MP4 or MOV

• Max File Size: 100MB

PRO TIP: Use well-lit, high-resolution footage. Keep text overlays minimal and make sure key visuals are centered for mobile viewing.

Interested in growing your following? Let us know! We run curated giveaways throughout the year with strong engagement and reach. The member will be included as a giveaway entry, with participants required to follow the member’s Instagram account—helping to grow their social media following. Sign up via your intake form or reach out directly to get involved.

INSTAGRAM COLLABORATION

FOR VISIT MARTHA’S VINEYARD & MVY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

To maintain a strong, consistent presence across platforms and ensure value for all partners, the following guidelines apply to Instagram collaborations in 2026.

1. Content Quality Standards (Non-Negotiable)

All collaboration submissions must include:

• High-resolution photos and/or high-quality video

• Sharp focus, good lighting, and s trong composition

• Blurry, pixelated, or low-quality content will not be accepted

• As AI comes into play in content creation, obviously AI content will not be accepted if it does not depict reality. AI edited content will be accepted as it fits the standards above.

Instagram is a visual-first platform. Content quality directly impacts performance, reach, and brand perception.

2. Format Requirements

• ONLY vertical photos and videos will be accepted

• Vertical content performs significantly better and aligns with current platform priorities

• Horizontal or square assets will not be approved Uniformity across platforms matters for visibility, engagement, and brand clarity.

3. Visit Martha’s Vineyard (Visit MV) Guidelines

Visit MV is a traveler-focused account. All content must clearly align with tourism and destination storytelling.

• Content should highlight:

- Travel experiences

- Places to stay, eat, shop, and explore

- Seasonal moments and island atmosphere

• Graphics are generally not accepted on Visit MV

- Exceptions may be made only if graphics are clean, minimal, and brand-aligned

• Trade partners should not submit collab requests to Visit MV unless the content has been previously approved

• Visit MV reserves the right to decline collaborations that do not align with audience, tone, or strategy

4. MVY Chamber of Commerce Guidelines

The MVY Chamber account supports the business community and allows for more flexibility.

• Graphics are accepted, but must be:

- Clean and easy to read

- On-brand and professional

- Free of clutter or excessive text

• Content should still meet quality standards and align with the Chamber’s role as a business resource

5. Collaboration Fairness & Frequency

To ensure fairness and visibility for all members:

• Every member is allowed to submit collaboration requests

• Collaborations will be accepted as they come in

• However, to maintain balance:

- If a business submits multiple collabs per week consistently, we may limit acceptance to approximately one per month

- This ensures equitable exposure across the community

6. Overall Goal

These guidelines exist to:

• Elevate the quality of shared content

• Support fairness across members

• Strengthen brand value for Visit MV, the MVY Chamber, and participating businesses

• Create a visually cohesive, high-performing social presence in 2026

EVENT SPONSORSHIPS:

Sponsor or advertise during major events (e.g., JAWS 50th anniversary, seasonal festivals, workshops).

Pricing varies by event.

NEWSLETTER ADVERTISING:

Ad spots in monthly newsletters, including ad space and/or sponsored content promotion.

LIVE AREA/TEXT SAFE ZONE (Your text must live within a 0.375” margin from each edge of the ad to avoid getting trimmed off)

TERMS & CONDITIONS

PAYMENT DEADLINES:

All advertising payments for the Martha’s Vineyard Guide are due prior to ad close. Space cannot be held or confirmed until payment is received.

CANCELLATION:

Full refund if cancelled before ad goes to print. Remove no refunds within 7 days of the ad date.

AD SUBMISSION:

Ads must be submitted in high-resolution PDF, JPG, or PNG at least 10 days before the ad runs. Late submissions may forfeit placement without refund.

LIABILITY

:

The Chamber isn’t responsible for errors in ads provided by advertisers. The Chamber can reject or request revisions to ads that don’t meet standards.
