Performance Note: Measure 62 should be aprox 15-20 seconds long. Singers should be equally divided into 5 groups. These 5 groups should be independent of the voice parts. As measure 62 begins, the conductor should cue each voice part as indicated, but the rhythms of each individual part should be random. As the section comes to a close, the conductor should begin a slow downbeat. As the conductor reaches their downbeat, the singers should stop on the next time they say the following words and hold until the continuation of the piece in measure 63. Group 1 should stop and sustain the word "We" Group 2 should stop and sustain the word "reach" Group 3 should stop and sustain the word "out" Group 4 should stop and sustain the word "with" Group 5 should stop and sustain the syllable "voice" (not "voices") Hold this chord for a few seconds and then go on with the rest of the piece.
