American poet Robert Frost (1874-1963) completed this poem in 1922 at his home in Vermont. After a long night of writing another poem, he went outside to see the sunrise and got the idea of a snowy evening and a little horse. He completed the poem in "just a few minutes without strain". 2022 is the 100th anniversary of this popular and beloved poem.
