I Wonder...Lawn is the fiVh of eleven short poems wriWen by Charles Anthony Silvestri. Each of the eleven poems explores a different perplexing thought, ranging from humorous to serious. Lawn is a semi-serious poem that asks why we spend so much *me trying to control our lawns (and possibly lives), only to have to repeat the cycle every season. The musical seZng features playful interac*ons between the voice parts and percussive, syncopated rhythms.

And then, in summer, I wonder why I water and feed my lawn, Encouraging it to grow, Only to complain When I have to mow it down... I wonder. About the Composer: Amy Gordon is an ac*ve composer, arranger, songwriter, and vocalist based in Los Angeles, CA. As a choral composer, she has worked with and been commissioned by numerous choirs, including being the composer-in-residence for Nova Vocal Ensemble. She has also scored numerous films and webcasts. About the Poet: Lyricist, author, and composer Charles Anthony Silvestri has worked with other ar*sts from all over the world to create texts tailor-made for their commissions and specific ar*s*c needs.
