This moving composition starts with a profound unison, placed in the ladies’ lower range, then eventually opens to a rousing 3 part section in the upper range. “All You Have” reaches its climax at the text “spend all you have for loveliness” and “for a breath of ecstasy.” This gem, based on Sara Teasdale poetry, is not difficult to teach/learn to teach and is tremendously fun to sing. The piano and cello accompaniment add beauty and drama. This would be a great selection for a high school women’s choir, is complex enough to engage a college women’s choir, yet is accessible to a good middle school treble choir as well.
