Advent for Strings was originally written for string quartet (quartet version avaiable from composer) in 2012. It was performed for a few worship services between 2012 and 2019 by various groups. This version is full string orchestral setting of two Advent Hymn tunes, PICARDY and VENI, VENI EMMANUEL. This is a perfect instrumental prelude for a worship service or an approachable piece for a school, college, or professional string ensemble.
