ABOUT THE EVENT
The Emerging Artist Benefit Concert is The Music Hall’s signature fundraising event, making it possible to showcase artists like the 100+ emerging talents who have performed at our venues over the past 20 years. With elevated ticket prices that include a 50% taxdeductible donation, your contribution helps us present the next generation of superstars. Funds are raised through the support of:
• A steadfast group of supporters who have made contributions ranging from $5,000 to $50,000.
• Concert ticket prices are increased to include a 50% tax deduction to the Music Hall.
Proceeds from the Emerging Artist Benefit Concert directly support The Music Hall’s mission to invigorate audiences, nurture healthy communities, and drive economic vitality in the region.
THE MUSIC HALL’S EMERGING ARTIST GRANT PROGRAM
The Emerging Artist Grant program is made possible by the generous support of Karen & David Della Penta.
The Music Hall is proud to support the growth of emerging artists by presenting up-and-coming acts across all of our stages. With the Emerging Artist Grant, we are able to extend this aid beyond our own venues by making a financial contribution to artists’ growth. By awarding two $5,000 grand prize grants and three $2,500 runner-up grants to musicians actively performing contemporary music, we can support the projects that will contribute to their professional development. This financial support can allow artists to secure live performance opportunities, recording/studio time, produce music video content, and develop marketing assets and/or strategies. In addition to the financial support, The Music Hall team will help make valuable connections with industry professionals for grant recipients.

I work closely with donors, partners, and the community to strengthen engagement and help bring extraordinary arts experiences to life.
Favorite Music Hall Memory: One of my favorite memories is recent, from 2023, when I brought my daughters to a Taylor Swift cover band and we spent the night singing and dancing with a packed theater full of joyful Swifties.
Enjoying Right Now: Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at the beach — any season, any temperature, I’m happy by the water. I challenge myself to read two books a month (recent favorites include The Nightingale, American Dirt, and really anything by Emily Henry).
Excited About in 2026: I’m really excited for Alison Krauss coming to The Music Hall in July. She’s been on my must-see list for a long time, and I know it’s going to be such a special night in the theater. I can’t wait to experience it with my family and our audience!

What is your favorite thing about The Music Hall? I would have to say the people. Everyone is so nice. Every time I go, whether to the Historic Theater, the Members Club, the Lounge, or something at another location, the staff and volunteers are friendly and upbeat. I’ve also gotten to know other members, which makes going to events even more fun.
What’s the best or most memorable show you’ve attended? There are so many to choose from. I’ll have to go with the ones I look forward to every year - Straight No Chaser and Nat Zegree. Great music from both, and I always learn something new from Nat. Why would you encourage someone else to become a member? There’s always something to do at The Music Hall, whether it’s a concert, a film, a comedian, or a book review, it’s a fun way to meet new people who have the same interests, and it’s a great way to support the arts, including local artists.

Director of Finance & Administrator
In my role as Director of Finance and Administration, I manage all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, payroll, and reporting, to support organizational stability and strategic growth. I additionally provide comprehensive leadership of HR functions, guiding policy, compliance, and organizational development initiatives.
Favorite Music Hall Memory: My two most memorable shows were Chris Botti and Melody Gardot, hard to choose which one I liked better.
Enjoying Right Now: Currently re-watching Ted Lasso for the 6th time while waiting on new seasons of other shows to come out. My hobbies include cycling, golf, and hiking, and recently took up playing the Handpan.
Excited About in 2026: I’m With Her - I love harmonic singers!

NEWS FROM YOUR MEMBERS CLUB!
This year marks the second anniversary of the Members Club, and that makes this an excellent time to introduce new programming. Inspired by those of you who have made the Club your “third space” - that essential gathering spot where you find community and connection - we’re working to nurture the feeling of belonging for you and all our members and neighbors.
Our new Get Out of the House series invites you out into the heart of downtown Portsmouth to connect with fellow members through a variety of events. February’s Love Song Bingo, for example, had newly minted friends joining together to belt out their favorite hits. We’re filling this series with game nights, tastings, speaker events, and more! Events are free but space is limited so be sure to stop in early.
Need to get down to business? We’re opening the Members Club during the day and creating space for connection, creativity, and shared work with Community Coworking Tuesdays. Join us Tuesdays anytime between 9:30am and 4:00pm. You don’t need to be a Music Hall member to participate, so bring a friend or share the invitation. We open the Club for the night at 4:00pm so when your work day is done, stay and grab a drink at McKeon’s Bar!
Thank you to our Members Club supporters:
