This recital is presented as a degree requirement for a Bachelor of Music in jazz studies.
Bergen Finley is an up-and-coming musician and composer majoring in jazz studies and music management at University of the Pacific. He has studied jazz guitar and composition under Barry Finnerty, Steve Homan, Sean Britt, and Joe Mazzaferro. Inspired by legendary musicians such as Pat Martino, Bill Evans, and Wayne Shorter, Finley hopes to pursue a career playing live music throughout the Bay Area and Central Valley. REcently, he has had the privilege to record in the studio with several phenomenal artists and his debut album Sightseer is scheduled for release in May 2026.
