This recital is presented as a degree requirement for a Bachelor of Music in music performance.
Maya Liu is a pianist, composer, and music educator dedicated to raising the next generation of musicians. She is currently pursuing a degree in music performance at University of the Pacific, where she studies piano with Dr. Sonia Leong.
Liu's versatile musical style includes classical and pop style improvisation. She has collaborated with orchestras, choirs, wind ensembles, bands, and chamber groups at institutions such as Georgia State University, Glory Church of Jesus Christ, and Atlanta Promise Church.
As an educator with seven years of experience, Liu is committed to inspiring young musicians. She mentors students in music theory and analysis and in effective learning strategies.
