2026 BRUSHSTROKES The Town of Nolensville’s TAPS Committee, in partnership with the Artist Guild of Nolensville, proudly announces the second year of its public art initiative, Brushstrokes Across Nolensville. The program will return with a newly curated collection of artwork and photography, displayed on vibrant vinyl banners along a prominent section of Nolensville Road. Each banner will feature a unique piece by a Tennessee artist. The 2026 theme is “We the People,” with banners displayed from Spring through Fall 2026. THANK YOU MEGAN KLEIN Williamson Health has deep roots in Nolensville, operating five local locations and providing a full-time, certified athletic trainer to Nolensville High at no cost. Megan Klein covers varsity sports, preventing and treating injuries while cheering on the Knights. Since 2022, she has partnered with Bone and Joint Institute physicians through Williamson Health’s comprehensive, no-cost sports medicine program. EMS also staffs home football games for rapid response. Megan builds trusted relationships with student-athletes, creating a safe training room and coordinating game-day hydration, taping, and injury care throughout the season each week.

NOLENSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING What a “Winter Break” for the Knights! The team competed on mats in Florida and Georgia, with Cruz Pryor and Brodie Melzoni placing at the Knockout Christmas Classic while Team #2 earned 3rd at a Georgia varsity dual. After Christmas, the Knights dominated the Battle for Independence at Independence High, crowning Jonathan Eaton, Brodie Melzoni, and Jake Sentell champions and taking 1st overall. TEACHER OF THE YEAR WCS Superintendent Jason Golden and other district administrators traveled around the district on Tuesday, December 2, to surprise the system-wide Teachers of the Year and Principal of the Year. The Elementary School Teacher of the Year is Oak View’s Lindsey Fedoryshyn; the Middle School Teacher of the Year is Legacy’s Shelby Kuhnle; and the High School Teacher of the Year is Nolensville’s Pamela Eve Farrell. The WCS Principal of the Year is Independence High’s Dr. Niki Patton. “I love honoring these outstanding educators each year,” said Golden. “They symbolize the hard work and dedication that define WCS.” Each year, every school selects a teacher and classified employee to honor. A teacher at the elementary, middle and high school level is then selected to be a District Teacher of the Year, which qualifies them to compete for State and National honors. Golden will also be visiting schools to surprise a system-wide Classified Employee of the Year at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Be on the lookout for the announcement of those employees, as well as departmental Classified Employees of the Year, in a future issue of InFocus.
