Celebrating the Heart of Nolensville

ctober is a season of transition — when summer’s energy gives way to crisp mornings, golden leaves, and the comforting rhythm of fall traditions. Here in Nolensville, October is more than just pumpkins on porches and football under the lights; it’s a time to gather as neighbors, celebrate our community, and embrace the simple joys of small-town life.

This issue highlights the people and stories that make our town unique, from Founders Day, and the NHS Homecoming to local businesses preparing for the holiday season, and the volunteers and students who bring heart and spirit to our community. As the days grow shorter, we’re reminded that what truly brightens Nolensville is not just the autumn sun shining through colorful trees, but the connections we share with one another. We hope these pages inspire you to slow down, enjoy the season, and take part in the many opportunities to connect this fall. We greatly value your input and welcome your recommendations for businesses, schools, nonprofit organizations, or individuals deserving of recognition. This is your magazine, and we want to cover the topics that interest you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with your feedback or ideas. As Nolensville Town Life continues its journey of sharing new and engaging stories in the coming months, we want to express our sincere gratitude to our advertisers for their unwavering commitment to this community. We encourage you to stop in, visit them, and show your support. I encourage you to always look for the good in people and find ways to help your neighbors. Together, we can make Nolensville an even more wonderful place to live. I hope to see you around town! “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” — Colossians 3:23

NHS Bowling Knights Aim High This Season

T

he Nolensville High School bowling team spent the summer getting ready for a season with big goals. Open bowling dates gave players time on the lanes before tryouts, followed by practices and scrimmages throughout September. Several bowlers also compete in leagues outside school, adding to the experience they bring to the Knights.Coach Jay McCulley wants to see steady growth from every player. The team is working toward a district championship, individual qualification for the TSSAA tournament and a run at the state tournament. After graduating a large senior class, the Knights are looking to returning bowlers Nolen Guthrie, Caleb Staman, Ben Torrado and Sarah Kate Bennett, along with several juniors, for leadership. Newcomers Lexie Morel, Harper Hoekstra, Muskaan Rastogi, Kingston Reynolds and

strikes. During Baker games, they sometimes sing a bowler’s walk-up song for encouragement.

McCulley sees the strength of local middle school bowling as a big part of the program’s future. He also coaches at Sunset Middle School, where he has watched players develop from beginners into high school competitors. Sunset’s boys won their district last year, while its girls finished runner-up. Mill Creek Middle School also helps prepare future Knights.

Early results have given both teams reasons to cheer. The boys have recorded strong wins against Lebanon, Tullahoma and Independence, while the girls opened 3–1 with wins over Lebanon and Independence. Braden Rossi and Caleb Staman have each rolled a 279. Paige Van Den Huevel has posted a 209 for the girls.

Time on the lanes matters, but McCulleysays mental focus can make just as much difference. After each ball, players must be ready to put the result behind them and concentrate on the next one. The Knights bring that focus to a liveteam atmosphere. Teammates trade high-fives and fist bumps, cheer for one another and even have special handshakes for

The Knights compete in a demanding district that includes Page High School and Rutherford County schools. Most matches begin at 4 pm. at Smyrna Bowling Center, giving Nolensville families a chance to see the team in action. “Come out, be loud, and cheer your bowling Knights on,” McCulley said.

Look, Feel, and Perform Your Best! by Steve Gamel | photography by Cassidy Jo Photography

Prime IV Hydration & Wellness brings personalized IV therapy, weight loss support, and proactive wellness to Nolensville.

It

Services include IV therapy, micronutrients, NAD+ infusions and injections, NIAGEN®, and a weight loss program. The goal is the same: to feel better from the inside out.

is a typical weekday afternoon, and Gaetjens Cadet is standing in the front entryway of his Prime IV Hydration & Wellness location. Construction trucks rumble in the background, but his attention is on one guest’s healthy smile. Only 45 minutes earlier, her husband had to help her walk inside. She was weak and dehydrated from an illness. Now she heads back to the car on her own, confident and eager to soak in the sunshine. She spots Gaetjens and can’t thank him enough. “It was her first visit. When you see the difference we make in people, you can’t help but feel good,” Gaetjens said. Gaetjens has been sold on IV therapy for years. He first heard about it seven years ago and drove 25 minutes each way to Cool Springs, the nearest facility. Partnering with Prime IV in Nolensville was a no-brainer.

In the nearly one year since opening, the community response has gone well beyond one happy customer. Guests come to Prime IV – Nolensville to get support for immune health, energy and vitality, and weight loss and metabolism. With parental consent, student athletes come in to recover from workouts and be ready for games and meets. Others come for hangover recovery, travel and jet lag support, skin health and anti-aging, or help before and after surgery.

An estimated 60% of the U.S. population is chronically dehydrated or vitamin deficient, and many people don’t know it. Those who do often rely on oral supplements, but those must pass through the digestive system and stomach acid, so the body may absorb only 25 to 30% of the benefits. IV therapy flips that script. Nutrients go directly into the bloodstream, bypassing digestion entirely, so absorption is nearly 100% and they work faster. The experience matters too. First-time guests and members alike head to the VIP members’ room and settle into a luxury massage chair while the IV infuses. The team calls it the One-Hour Vacation™, an escape from the daily grind.

NolensvilleTownLife.com

before closing to allow time for the infusion. Many choose a membership to make proactive wellness part of their routine. Members enjoy a monthly IV, VIP room access, priority scheduling, and discounts on additional services.

Behind that calm experience is a serious commitment to safety. Prime IV – Nolensville takes a medicalapproach to IV therapy. A doctor oversees the practice, and nurse practitioners review every guest’s medical and medication history to check for contraindications and ensure all safety protocols are followed. The compound room is essential to that process. It allows nurses to compound each IV safely, to order, in a sterile environment following USP 797 compounding standards. The location uses only plant-based vitamins. “I’ve always had a curious mind, particularly when it comes to wellness, food, and vitamins,” Gaetjens said. “Once I found IV therapy, I haven’t looked back. We go above and beyond to ensure we give you only what you need and what works for you.” Prime IV also offers a weight loss program and exercise plans, each with tailored, guided wellness, nutrition, and exercise coaching. “If you can only walk, we do that,

NolensvilleTownLife.com

but we also like to include some type of strength training,” Gaetjens said. Progress is tracked in an app so the team can offer kudos and coaching. “We don’t just give you an IV, NAD+, or a weight loss program and send you on your way,” he added. “We build relationships with our guests and help them take a proactive approach to wellness—staying hydrated, feeling their best, and supporting their immune health.”

“It’s our first year, and we are still building. But I couldn’t be happier to have Prime IV in Nolensville,” Gaetjens said. “From simple hydration to more complete vitamins, weight loss, and more, we love what we do.”

Klaire Powers - A Cornerstone of Our Community

by Jennifer Calvert, Ed.D. | photos courtesy of Tim Beard

K

laire Powers has been part of Nolensville High School since the very beginning, and her presence has helped shape the heart of our school community. Through the years, she has generously shared her time, energy, and talents in countless ways, always looking for opportunities to support students, staff, and families. Her leadership has helped build traditions, strengthen relationships, and make NHS the wonderful place it is today. Klaire is often the person behind the celebrations that bring our community together. She pours herself into planning and organizing gatherings to recognize our students, connect with one another, and serve the community. Much of her work happens quietly behind the scenes, but its impact is felt by everyone who attends. Her thoughtfulness and attention to detail help make each event at NHS meaningful.

Because she has been with Nolensville from the beginning, Klaire also carries a special understanding of our school’s history. She helps preserve the traditions that have shaped us while continuing to welcome new people and create new memories. Her connection to our past, along with her dedication to supporting our school’s future, makes her an invaluable part of the NHS family.

is truly a cornerstone of Nolensville High School. We are deeply grateful for all she has done, and continues to do, for our school and community. Jennifer Calvert, and Klaire Powers

Even on the busiest days, Klaire constantly reminds the people around her to "choose joy and kindness." She has shown us that a strong school community is built through the care we show one another. Because of this, Klaire's influence reaches far beyond any single event or role; the work she does helps students feel supported, staff feel appreciated, and families feel at home. David H. Sherry J. “Channell Sealants did an outstanding job sealing our driveway, sidewalks and front porch. Every part of the aggregate concrete was covered very well. Even used a paint brush to get against the garage doors without marking the doors. Driveway has a steep slant so not easy. All of it looks so much better. Very glad we hired them for this project.”

John S. “Job - clean and seal aggregate driveway. Quick estimate, thorough explanation of job scope, and did exactly what he committed to. Looks great! Would recommend.”

“They did an outstanding job and I highly recommend them. What sets Channell Sealants apart from others? They thoroughly pressure wash so no stains or blemishes get sealed into the surface. They completely fill all joints with crack filler, which looks great and helps prevent water from penetrating and freezing, which can expand the cracks. They use a high-quality sealer that is much better than the typical big box store products. Their cleanup is very thorough. They did such a great job the last time that we didn’t even consider trusting anyone else this time. The sealant has held up well for the past two years. Give them a call—you won’t be disappointed.”

Building Community Together Chrismon-Brown Park will bring sports, trails, gathering spaces, and a lasting tribute to Nolensville’s history.
