First I want to take a“breather” from that fantastic October “Alpha Towne Meeting, clear that our penchant for remembering those college ties that bind is in full force here in Metropolitan D.C. At the Towne Meeting, we had representatives from over adozen alumni and college chapters. Many thanks to the Program Chairman Dan Nowell, the panelists and of course, Bro. Kevin Monroe and Beta chapter fortheir step show acumen and input.

The luncheon will take place at the Howard Inn, located next to the campus of Howard University, in the Founder’s Ballroom at 12:00 noon. Lunch is provided at acost of $20.00 per brother.

Brothers, our November meeting will begin the process of planning for our 1993 fiscal year. Many committees will present proposals to the chapter for advice and approval: Constitution amendments; Budget guidelines; Calendar; HA Callis fund-raiser; membership goals; and community service update. Bro. Sam Thornton has commenced an aggressive reclamation program that will culminate in our contact and affiliation with Brothers who have been astray. Two years ago, we launched Project 200 to register those number of financial alumni brothers. Please utilize the brochure and special programs to spread the good news of Mu Lambda.
Finally, may November cause you to pause and ponder the many reasons that we collectively and individually have to be thankful for during the beginning of the Thanksgiving holiday. Let us “...march onward and upward toward the light.”

Charles Graham, National Oratorical Contest Champion spoke to the audience on the ideals of the Jewels. Chapter Advisor Bro. Leroy Lowery inspired the audi¬ ence with apersonal testimony of the fraternity.
