President's Message

(continued from page 1)

April brings on iniiiaiion of prospectives and the Easiem Regional Meet¬ ing, where we expect Brother LeRoy Lowery, ID to be elected Vice President. There is our scholarship dance in Ma> at which we will name the Mu Lambda Brother of the Year (See insens 3and 4 of this issue.) Later comes the General Convention in Baltimore in August. And remember, it will soon be time to elect a new General President.

We must not let up. We cannot let up. We must continue to lead and to exen our influence for ‘the good of the order.”

Please be aware that the Program Committee, the Social Committee, and the Educational Director are busy plan¬ ning activities for all of 1991. If you have any ideas or suggestions that you want to have considered, please share them with Brothers Fred Laney (Social), C. C. Jones and Dan Now'ell (Program).

“For the Good of the Order” is not a cliche that we add to the agenda for our monthly meetings. But rather, it is an in¬ vitation to all Brothers to actively panicipate in the meetings, sharing in the dis¬ cussions and debates, and making relevant comments on issues which affect the Brotherhood, the community, the so¬

ciety in which we live, and the world around us. Further. Brother Vincent Orange has taken on the awesome task of leading our Committee on Public Policy. Give him your input and support.

Many of us are making special sacri¬ fices during this Lenten season. Some of us are making sacrifices because of “the recession.” There is no sacri fi ce to be made when it comes to the Goodwill and Brotherhood for Alpha. Best wishes for the coming Easter season and beyond! □
